Well it's not really the simultaneous fights, just 3 rounds together means that there is no interaction and reactive strategy between rounds, as Vovan said.

Ah ok.
Thinking about it I'm not sure if this structure would be suited to splitting the rounds up..........is it better or worse if you can see or at least guess at the choices made in rounds 1 or 2 before setting values for round 3? This game is different than before in that all 3 rounds have you allocating all your points.

Okay, you have a point. How about if we do two turns of three round of combat for the RR? The other version kinda failed if one person got way far ahead of the other (no way to come back).
Was it clear that you will always have 100 ADP points in each round, that is, 1st, 2nd, 3rd,...end. But your hit points (100) will be reduced. I was trying to find a way to allow for comebacks, this is what I came up with.

Yeah let's try 2 sets of the 3 rounds, or better yet as many sets as it takes to get one person under 50.

Yes, any and all HongHu and welcome. Be warned that the fights can be a bit bloody at the end.
Spikey,
If we bump the RR to 50 points then they will not all finish at the same time. There is already a lot of calculations waiting for me with two turns of RR. I'm not liking the idea of two people going defensive 4 or five days in a row and slowing the RR down.
Lastly, that would make the semis the same as the RR. I wanted each level to be a little harder/longer. Are you afraid that you will not reach the semis and then be bored while we finnish?

Lets just keep it at 2 rounds unless there are more than 10 entries, then I'll consider three. Remember the RR is supposed to represent sparring.
HongHu, you will need to name your warrior and select your weapon/Armour combo.

Thanks for your confidence in her but I think she would not be that lucky to be able to get to see the bloody part in the end.

I'm in
Lord Drogue of Antoine - a French nobleman who decides to enter tourney's for the excitement.
Weapon: The Sword of Durle' - A family heirloom, named after the village that his family originally came from. Largely a ceremonial sword that has much sentimental value in it's killings. It was not really made for intense combat, but still packs a punch. +9
Armour: Firebrands Plate - A gift from the Lady of Forveen for gallantly, if foolhardily, fighting off a ravaging pack of wolves that attempted to trample on her lawn. The armour came with a warning that gallantry can lead to misfortune. +11

I'm not sure what it is... I remember having played a game where you could play round robin... but I don't remember anything from it... could you enlighten me?

Well it's all play all, and SC said we would split it into 2 groups of 5 and play 1 set of 3 round combat per day. So the answer to Jamski's question is everyone gets to fight everyone.

Yes, like Spikey said, you be fighting everyone in the first round. ties are possible, and the 4 with the best record go on to the semis.
Again, I will start the pairings on Monday to give some other folks a chance to hit this thread. I was hoping for Asmodean to show.

Good move Spaced Cowboy. Chill down the hot bloods, let the cold calculating minds dominate the bloody battle ... Starve the blood thirsty audience, they'll tear up the stage when you return ...

Try the post above this one and the post 5 above this one. There are also a couple on page 1, but I'm too lazy to look back.

There was one just above, but it was in the second part of the post, by which time I've usually started skimming when it comes to you.

Now this is why I post 1-smilie posts sometimes. I mean, how can you skim a post that only contains a single smilie?
