How to Split up the Ten Teams?
This is a discussion thread.
We already decided to have the same settings and even map for both games HERE
How should the ten teams be divided into 2 sets of 5 teams each?
Lets post ideas here and if we have to we can eventually make a poll.
My feelings are just do a random division with some consideration given to prefered playtimes and maybe Civ choices. (Ie, if two teams want the Iroquois for first choice then split them up into two groups.)

I think it should be simply random.
If the two civs wanting Korea both end up in the same game - well, so be it. One will have to choose the Mongols.
Play times can then be arranged mosr appropriately for each game.
The only exception is that we want GCA in our first game.

Our objective is to get through the qualifying rounds quickly and enter the final. It's not to beat up Lucky/GCA.
Having them in our group will distract us. We do not want to beat each other up so much that we both end up missing the Finals. Let's leave the selection as random.

I kind of agree here everyone lets leave the GCA Lucky thing out of it for now.
If it happens we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
And if it does happen we WILL have friends.
Random, although I still think if two teams want the same civ we should split them up but Ill go with the majority.

I think it would be cool if the administrators merely told each team whom they would be recieving the game from and to whom they would send it. We might not even know until after the game who was in ours.
