You mean the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996?
Or do you mean lobbing a couple of missiles because Clinton couldn't be arsed to seriously deal with terrorism?
OR do you mean him turning the Oval Office into a sleazy place?
OR perhaps you mean his dumb-ass policy with the military called "don't ask, don't tell?"
Or maybe . . . . . . ah, I digress.

MrFun, yes, those are a bunch of things about Clinton I did not like. Course, he wasn't the one who turned the Oval Office into a sleazy place. That happened a long time ago.

The swindling, back-stabbing, homophobic-pandering, no-good Billie Clinton lost all respect I had for him during his second term.

If he had made any attempt to go after bin Laden at that time (2000), he would have lacked support from most of congress and the american people.

Given the choice between Clinton and Bushes, I will still choose Clinton.
Given the choice between Bush Jr. and Gore, Dean, and other clowns among Dems, I will choose Bush Jr.

The key problem with using this joke with Regan or either of the Bushs' is the last part:
Quote:
|
> The Marine, understandably agitated at this point,
> looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third
> day in a row you have been here asking to speak
> to Mr. Bush; I've told you already that Mr. Bush
> is no longer the president and no longer resides here.
> Don't you understand?"
>
> The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I
> understand. I just love hearing it."
>
> The Marine snapped to attention, saluted and said,
> "See you tomorrow, Sir.
|
I have served under both Bushs' and under Clinton. Times were FAR better with the Bushs' than with Clinton and I certianly would not have acted this way (as well as a VAST majority of the soldiers I knew).
