Quiet.
Whats happening in these forums now days. Seems pretty quiet if not dead.
I remember when this used to be one of the places to be, then it just died. I used to post here some with niDe back when Rise first came out.
So, has Rise lost its attraction to most of you then? To me it kinda has. I haven't played it in over a month now. Used to play it quite a bit. Probably will play it some more when I move down to uni again. It hasn't really lost its 'thing' ( I still count it as one of the best RTS' made so far) its more that I just don't play games as much now. So what about you fella's? Lost its 'thing'. I suppose only the hardcore players'll be left on this forum now though.
Anyway, general thoughts on why this forum is soo dead aswell?

I played it for a while, then stopped for ages. I recently reinstalled it and have played a few more games now. There just doesn't seem to be much to talk about though.

I wish 'poly was more of a hotspot for RoN, but it is mostly dyed in the wool TBS'ers here. The community has grown considerably since christmas, RoN seems more popular than ever. There are plenty of strat discussions going on, just not here. =( Though El Cap and I had a long debate here a few days ago. The forum community has coagulated at RoNH, MFO, O4B's, and RoNU.

yeah, poly doesn't seem to be the place for RoN fans... not a lot of RTSers around here...

Yes, I think gamers who approach RoN from a solid TBS perspective could contribute much to the fan community. Much of the discussion of RoN right now is dominated by a more competitive approach to playing the game. Much of the fun I've had in the Civ games revolves around playing history more than playing war, and I can do that with RoN, too, albeit by imposing play restrictions on myself that are incompatible with winning as fast and as efficiently as possible.

well i think it would be good to discuss from a TBS or solo play perspective how RoN is good or can be improved.

Diplomacy Upgrade
Would be great if RoN had a info section that shows how other nations regarded you.
Something like Ctp2 .Simple but gives alot more then showing war or peace.

I haven't been here in a while. It's just that the thrill of talking about a game that you don't have is lost once you buy the game =(
But awesome game though. Probably tied with SC and AOK as best RTS game ever in my opinion.

I concur. Althoug SC edges it out for me, but thats just because I really love that game. Ron edges out AOK for me aswell.

Having a preview copy, I assure you the Ex Pact will surely breathe life back into solo play and the campaigns. I think even multiplayer will be changed by Nations like the Lakotas.
