I'm judging by the 22 minute gap that you didn't go too well.

Hehe I spent about 2 hours trying to work out how not to crash when landing on a planet. When I looked at my mate's manual and saw how to do it (I was locking the coordinates in a way it didn't like) I was annoyed, since it was almost exactly the same.

Do a Google on the game, there are tons of sites about it complete with manuals and how-to's.

Playing some SMAX now, will probably hit MoO2 again in the near future.
How old is Diablo 2, now?

Picked up Silent Hunter and tried it out during the week-end. Seems like a good game, but I need to download a manual for the navigation and the torpedo room...

I've been playing Diablo 2 lately, too.
Only single player, though... I can't play on Bnet with the expansion. Besides, all you get for playing on Bnet is idiots and lag.

Osweld,
I've read Fahrenheit 451 several times. I don't recall that quote, though... Is it really from the book?

Yep. On page 55 of my copy.
It's from when Beatty is lecturing Montag in his bedroom after 'the night' and his wife present.

i saw firepower at hotu so i tried playing that for a while but it ran too damn fast and all the slow down programs suck. i remember that being quite fun(especially in 2 player mode). i've been playing the old rotk 2-4 on snes lately since i just got a ps2 and am looking forward to trying rotk 7-9.

How about geting MoM to work? I can't get around the extended memory problem, no matter what I try. I've followed a few walkthroughs specific to MoM but with no luck.
EDIT: On XP, that is.

Osweld what is happening to MoM?
Do you get an error msg, but can not see it has it flashes by?
Right click on the exe and select properties and then Program tab. Clear the close on exit box. This will allow the dos window to remain open so you can see the msg.
Was it a memory issue?
Go to the exe properties select Mem tab. Set the three drop downs to the highest values. Check protected and use HMA boxes.
Does the game require EMS?
If so you should create copies of the Config.Nt and Autoexec.NT files and put them in the directory of that game.
Edit the Config.NT file and check the box for compatible timer. I have not need the autoexec so far, so change the Config filename to point to the new one you are creating. In this file add EMM=RAM after dos=high statement. This will force emulation of EMS memory.
Check the properties for the icon (pif) and go to the memory tab to see if EM has a value of at least 1024.
Other items may require changs to Config or even Autoexec and will likely be defined in the install doc for that game, I have not required any so far and all of my games are runningat this time, but I may buy others later.
It could be that you need to go to the compat tab and select run in compat mode for Win95. A game that requires 256 colors may need that box checked.
Misc tab you should look at the Exclusive mode for the mouse. Resolution 640 may be required for some.
Windows XP has a tool that can be downloaded to test various setting for desperate situations.

I have not tried Mom on my current system, but I had it working on XP PRO on my last system, sound and all.
Moo1 is working on my system with sound and Steve made both games.

I have tried this, aswell as more specialised suggestions from "geting MoM to work" walk-throughs. (which there are quite alot of )

No luck. I've tried alot of other suggestions with the config /autoexec which where mentioned in the walk-throughs, aswell.

You might take a look at DOSBOX it's a DOS emulator intended for games. It works on windows and Linux. Plus it even comes with a standard soundblaster emu so you won't have to fiddle with your soundcard settings at all. There might even be a MT-32 emu someday now that canadacow (creator MT-32 emualtor is onboard)
