I'm thinking of exploring some of the other forums...
...but it's been so long...
Anyone know what's out there beyond the OT horizon?
I like Civ3 Conquests, thinking about multiplayer, but what if nobody wants to play with me? ...I'm sure it must be a pretty scary prospect for any sane human.
Plus, the machine that has the game on it is virgin, never been on the net. What if someone has their way with it while I'm innocently massacreing my enemies?
Thoughts?

The Other Games forum is a nice and tidy forum. Just don't spam too much, or Rah will shot you down

Let me see.....
You've been here since 1999, and you're an Emperor. Either there were several pages of the Apolyton/Community forum that are entirely filled with your posts, or I suspect that you've been outside once or twice......
Where did you used to hang around? Why not pop back for a visit? Some of the same people may well be still there, or you could meet some new friends who will kick your ass at MP and then laugh at you. After all, that's what friends are for!

You got a reason to be scared... there's a war outthere, so be careful where you step...

I like the OT... why leave?
I was doing a crossword this morning and one of the clues was O.T. book... It took me almost the whole puzzle before I realized that "O.T." stood for Old Testament and not Off Topic... The answer was Lev. for Leviticus.

I've been hanging out in the other games forum for a couple of months. That's a good start. And lately I've dared to post in the Civ3 general forum. It's not that hard and most the people seems nice. There's a lot of emperors and kings out there that I've never heard of. Come on Lancer, you can do it. It's really easy if you try.

Ever since C3C was released, those forums have been invaded by otherwise OT-only posters.

Yup.
I'm scared of the multiplayers though. They use mass quantities of units.

I kinda feel the other way around about it.
I started in a game forum(as Civ is a game, and apolyton a game site for the game) and then slowly worked up the nerve to come here on the odd occasion.
The OT is actually a kinda hellish place in comparison to some of the game forums. I've never been mistreated while i've been here, but i just cant help shake that slight feeling of cold dread whenever i look to see what people are talking about here.........
So come on over to one of the other forums - its not so bad really

Lancer, the other games forum is safe, it's all OT posters talking 'on topic' about 'other games' all the while getting +1's. Its very similar to the 'community forum'
