Rah awoke early in the moring eager to get to work to see the results of his newly designed golf driver. He placed the driver on the automatic driving machine overnight to get some distance and spin data. The machine hits marked balls into a pad. The balls fall to the floor and roll back into a feeder under the machine. A high-speed camera is placed such that it takes two still shots of each ball as it is hit. A computer program analyzes the pics and can determine the speed, angle, and spin of the ball.
He got to work and rushed to his computer oblivious to everything else around him. He started looking at the beginning of the data and start squirming in his chair since the data looked excellent. In the back of his mind he hears the machine still hitting balls, but the normal sound of the ball hitting the pad doesn't sound quite right.
He gets up and walks to the enclosure and sees Spiffor speadeagle on the pad and a pile of blood underneath him. Before he can shut it down, another ball finds its mark and splatters Spiffor's left eyeball soaking the pad in more blood and puss.
Rah shuts down the machine and enters the chamber to find spiffor nailed (about 200 shiney nail heads showing) to the pad, and in such bad shape that he is dead, that is, he has no pulse.
Day breaks on the village, the Mafia has struck again!

Hmmm, now vovan has the most posts in this thread, that seems to signify interest, but Nikolai has been quite prolific too. However both of those could be just interest in the game and bordom. Or Ghengis could have been right and Kassi has been leading me astray, as he got early posts trying to docpile Ghengis.
Dammit, I was so sure it was Ghengis, now I have no idea.

Actually, here's what I'm thinking.
The Mafia has generally been slow giving out the orders, right?
But this time is different. It took less than two hours between the village execution and the next Mafia hit. I think that's the time it might have taken Spaced to check his PM's, come up with the new gory story, get some tea, and post everything.
At any rate, this was really fast.
What does this mean? Well, one of two things:
1. The Mafia was on-line when the village execution occured. Therefore, it must have been either me or Nikolai or Drogue.
But there's also another possibility:
2. Spaced received the order from the Mafia in advance. In a PM. In the PM. In the same PM that contained Guynemer's vote for me.
--------------------
Soooo, I am torn between voting for Nikolai and Guynemer... But I guess I'll keep my current vote for now...

If it is Guynemer, then we will be able to tell, by whether or not the mafia is ordered to kill someone killed by the villiagers, or some such starnge decision later. IMHO, if it is him, he will be caught.
However, Jamski has already stated that he used to give kill orders early, when he knew who was going to be killed by the villiagers. It was obvious that Ghengis was going last night, well before Spaced posted. Therefore it could be anyone who's been on in the last 24 hours. Which would be everyone left, I'm guessing.
There are reasons to suspect everyone too. Skanky has been much quieter than usual, as has rah, although that may be due to spam. Vovan has explained before why Nikolai could be, and Nikolai has also explained why Vovan could be. Ghengis has explained why I could be, and why Kass could be. Guy has been less suspicious lately, because he hasn't been here, but it could still be him.
In other words, I haven't a clue.

When I was Mafia, I sent a list, and changed every once in a while depending on strategy.

Even if working from a list would make your logic moot on this point, I was thinking the same thing. So Since you posted twice in that short period, I'll Select vovan
RAH
and darn I really thought it was gengis too.
And nice kill SC. As I look out at the snow, my thoughts wander to hitting a few balls.

Vovan has been the most active in this thread, but I'm thinking it may be one of the quiet ones. How do we know who was online? They may just not have posted?
I'm going for Kassi. He posted early in the each day a lot, he knew that I would vote for Ghengis, since I thought it was him ( ) and because he was talked of a lot, he knew he would get votes. He started doc-piles but not much other posts. Makes sense for both a villiager and a mafia to do, but if he is, after me helping him like that, I'll feel like an idiot. Therefore I want to find out if it is or not.

I vote Nikolai, he was online when the kill order was presumably sent. I don't think it was Drogue.
Hmmm, tough one.
Yeah, but you probably have a computer at work.
All I have are (unopened) alcohol bottles.

Vovan. I'm posting rather succintly lately because I always seem to wander in the thread at a time when I'm supposed to be doing something else, and I have this nagging feeling of having to throw the vote in as soon as possible, now that Spaced Cowboy has been doing "days" that last only few hours.

Sorry to hear that, Jamski.

I'm back, live and in living color, and I stand by my vote. It is obviously vovan. He just looks suspicious, and that's all the proof I need.

Wow, I'm starting to feel like a programmer for Atari. People complain that I am going too slow, and then some complaint that I'm going too fast.
Actually, I've only closed the voting when there was no way for the guy with the most votes to loose. I've only executed Mafia kill orders when I've had them in the queue.

The village has spoken:
The villagers grab vovan and take him out into the street. His arms and legs are bound by ropes and the ends are tied to signal poles on either side of the main street. After a few minutes, Kassiopeia dives up in a steamroller that was being used on the new highway construction project. He plowed over vovan from toe to head with the sickening pop, crunch of the head being the move that sprayed the ones that were too close with bits of grey matter and blood.
Night falls on the village.....
(Guynemer, since you are back, I'm ignoring the rest of your pm'd votes, which was a tricky thing anyway since your first one was for Tass, who is not even in this game. You must really like that guy! )
