Where do you go when your not here?
or.
Where do you go when you vacation?
Is there a certain spot or area that you go to year after year?
Do you generally go to the same type of area?
Are you a wanderlust?
I like to hike/backpack, so I prefer mountains and forrests. My wife, however, has bad knees and can't really go far without major aches and pains. So...
For our honeymoon/1 year ann.. I took her to St. Thomas. She had never been to a tropical area before, or really anywhere outside of the West Coast. She loved it, and now we seem to have to go to the tropics every year. Which isn't bad, but I grew up going to Hawaii every year, and I have gotten rather sick of it. I have gotten clever, however, and try to go to places with good hikes as well. Went to the Yucatan last year, and I am planning a vacation for this year; Belize or Costa Rica, I think.

In general, when I'm not here, I'm in Bordeaux. My girlfriend lives there, and she has a piss-poor dial up connexion I barely use.
When it comes to real vacations, I have consistently spent them at home these last years, because I was studying away from home
Now, I'll spend more time wandering during vacations, but I don't think I'll stick to anyplace, as my gf loves to see new places.

I have not been to a lot of places -- just Chicago, St. Louis, Miami, Orlando, Milwaukee. And the only foreign country I have been to was Ecuador.
Something I would like to SOMEDAY is to take a roadtrip around part of the Great Lakes area, driving through KH's country, and then back into my country (can't recall my country's name right now).

Where do you go when your not here?
Well, according to strict positivist thought, and assuming your perspective, the obvious answer is "nowhere".

Wow, this is completely weird. I was just out walking around Greektown on a nice winter day, and some guy just walked up to me and gave me a wool and cashmere overcoat from Lord and Taylor.
He said I looked cold.
Just thought I'd share.

Vacation? Haven't been on one in years... and wont for at least another year
Though when I go on vacation I prefer places where there's lots of beaches (And the temperature in January is high)... For now, my best vacations have been on Lanzarote (an island near Gran Canaria) and Italy

I don't know but somebody just got hold of my credit card number and ran up $7,000 worth of charges.
So, I must be having a good time somewhere!

ADG,
You never answered my question as to where you usually live. You said it was a one-supermarket town or something like that.

I like to drive around to wherever. Last time I drove to Montana, then I drove to Colorado, then I drove to Vegas, then I drove back to Colorado, then I drove to Chicago, and then I drove home. I really liked it in Montana -- hopefully I'll be able to get rich and retire there when I turn thirty or something.

What's the weather like up there right now?

I must have missed that question then! When did you ask it?
I did live in a small town once (With only one store), but that's 7 years ago... would like to live there again...
At present time I live in Sønderborg, Sønderjylland... You know where this is?

Sure I do. I visited your lovely region a few months ago when I attended a wedding ceremony in Aabenraa. And sometimes when I head for Germany.
