For Posterity
Whether the changes discussed and decided here eventually end up in patched stock, or whether they end up in the evolving AU Mod, I'd just like to give everybody a great big for their contributions.
I continue to be amazed by Firaxis et al and their ongoing commitment to improving and supporting Civ3. This is, for all involved, a long term thing... whether in terms of the patches or the eventual development of Civ4.
The AU Mod, and its influences, will be with us for a long time... so let us continue to make it great.
Again, thanks to all (and especially alexman! ).

I really hope many of the AU changes end up in patched stock ... like the AU PtW changes that became part of stock C3C.

Secret Police, Naval Movement, and I think some of the attack/def value changes, not sure what else.

I would like to thank all of the people who helped with the progress of the mod, expecially the AU Panel and Alexman. I was not able to contribute much because of my disability (not having C3C).

The idea of zero-range bombard for archers et al is another AU change that made it into C3C, albeit in a modified form.

Changes included in the latest PtW AU mod version (1.17) that made it into C3C: - Great Wall provides walls in every city on the continent,
- Additional tech prerequisites for spaceship parts,
- Increased movement rates for naval units,
- Lethal sea/land bombardment for air units,
- Zero-range bombardment for archer-type units,
- Postponed availability of Ironclads,
- Tweaked A/D/M rates for Keshiks and Marines,
- Tweaked RoF/capacity for Cruise Missiles and Helicopters,
- More productive scientists/tax collectors,
- Increased wealth income.
Note that - most of these changes were introduced in C3C, but not exact in the same form (e.g. zero-range bombardment is only half as strong in C3C as it was in AU-PtW),
- there are some additional changes that were part of the AU mod at some time, then got dropped again and are now part of C3C (e.g. the 2-movement radar artillery).
Secret police was not a second FP, but a Communism-specific city improvement in AU-PtW, so I didn't add it to the list.
