Tournament Status?
Cavebear,
The tournament seems to have drifted down to the secondary pages and I haven't heard any news for awhile. What's the current positon of the top players (I know I'm out) ? When is the ultimate confrontation planned?
I said that it would be okay if the tournament took awhile but things have been rather quiet lately...

CapTVK - Yes, that one game is still going on. They are grinding their way through the ages in a hard-fought (but steadily-played) contest.
I suspect they will all suffer nervous breakdowns or develop ulcers by the time it reaches a conclusion.

Mark and Deity might, I won't. I'm letting them hammer the crap out of each other. I get a turn every two or three hours, but so what? They're having a ball. The only problem is they keep taking, losing and re-taking the same cities. I worry about the sanity of the inhabitants of those cities with the number of colour changes they've suffered.

So in other words, this is the only game still going on?
What were the final results of the others and where does everyone currently stand then?
I have been following this tournament with interest but (like CapTVK) I no longer no where it is at?

Sparrowhawk - Yes, there is only one game going on; the last round will commence when it is complete.
The results of the other 2 round 3 games (in order of finish):
Game A - Nappy, Markus, Atitea
Game C - SmartFart, Carnide, CapTVK
Understanding that Game B is still undetermined and no points reflected, the current points are (for active players):
Nappy -------- 12
Markus ------- 11
Atirea ------- 10
SmartFart ---- 8
Carnide ------ 7
Deity -------- 4
Finbar ------- 4
Mark E ------- 4
CapTVK ------- 2

I have to be realistic about this. Our tourney game is going to take forever now and with my personal circumstances I simply can't allocate enough time to get it finished soon. I have to bail out of this game
Sorry cavebear, but at this stage keep me in the tourney, if you need the numbers, maybe in a game with 4 players in case it goes the same way.
To MarkE and finbar, I'm so sorry not to finish a great game (maybe some other time for fun!)
Feel free to continue it of course but with Elendil and me out it is a bit of a distorted game. Either way you guys should get 1st and 2nd points and me 3rd if cavebear permits?

This is a shame. Still, we appreciate your difficulties, D. I can't see much point in continuing with half the original complement of players. Your thoughts, Mark?

Sorry to have you disappear Deity, I was looking forward to making you disappear the old-fashioned way
Finbar and I, the only remaining players, have agreed to end the game. His strategy would have required me and D beating each others brains out for quite some time to work (paraphrasing).
So unless there are grumbles about what I think is the outcome, here are the results:
winner Mark Everson (by powergraph)
#2 finbar
#3 Deity (withdrew)
#4 curumbor (withdrew)
Good game guys!
Sorry we held up the tourney so long , but RL made it difficult to finish any earlier.
