Physical description of Nwabudike Morgan
The physical description of Nwabudike Morgan presented in Journey to Centauri: Episode 21, part 1 (last 3 paragraphs):
Quote:
|
*Just then the exit hatch hissed open, and everyone turned to see a large African man fill the opening, his face regal, his body clothed in the folds of a black robe, and his hands bound. A security officer stood behind him, dwarfed by the man's presence.
*"Nwabudike Morgan," the man said in a deep, rich voice, and lifted his hands. "I paid for part of your ship, and there is no need to bind me."
|
Some of the actors proposed are skinny little runts compared to that description. Is there among them a broad-shouldered man at least 6'4" tall and 250 lbs?

IMHO the physical description is very much less important than the personality and presence. In this role I'd rather see Morgan Freeman than Michael Clark Duncan, for example. Chris Rock is wrong on many levels.

I vote for Jackson, but Fishborne is a good choice too.

Hey, he's good!
In this poll however, Freeman. He sprung instantly to mind, even before I saw the choices.

You can do many wonders with movie cameras those day, making an actor seems taller than he is actually.
John Amos fits the physical description but I don't know if he'd fit the character well.
A random thought - can you imagine Levar Burton in this role?? I can't!
I recently watched the Redux edition of Apocalypse Now and I didn't realize Fishburne was a such shrimp back then. Fishburne would be excellent for this role but as so Morgan Freeman would also.
Ok, a nomination to end all nominations - Sherman Hemsley

Palmer a Morgan? Isn`t Morgan selfconfident, calm businessman? Not a guy who is a total loser! "I do not want to bombard three possibly innocent countries" Freeman :doitnow:

I was talking about how much the *actor* who plays Palmer looks like Morgan. I didn't mean that Palmer himself would be Morgan, lol.
Freeman would be a good Morgan, just an older Morgan.

Well that would be an interesting Morgan - MorgInd would bankrupt in a moment with Palmer - sorry.
But really we can`t choose actors on sole basis of appearance. Talent people!

I just saw this picture of Denzel Washington and it made me think of Morgan during his rare moments when he show his anger.
Don't get me wrong, I still support Morgan Freeman. Just a rare shot of Washington that happen to remind me of Morgan.
EDIT: Think of it, this'll be a good avatar. I don't want it alto.

I vote banana in protest.
Gotta agree with Jam on this one. Lawrence Fishburne has a track record of playing that cool, calm, collected, and calculating puppet master. Probably the only actor in the third Matrix film that was still bothering to act by the last movie. (god that movie stank like dog cr@p on a shoe)
As far as looks go, I really like the ideas of Levar Burton and the actor that plays "President Palmer from 24", but since neither strikes me as particularly good actors, so Fishburne it is.
edit: damn it Barinthus you bump trapped me Shame on me for not checking the dates
