It would be interesting to know if anyone ignores me thou. And also the reason therefore.

/me feels that sometimes it might be good to be ignored, but sometimes it's just too mush.

I've never understood the ignore feature... Is anyone actually using it?

Do people hate each other here? Is there some poster on Apolyton you absolutely can't stand and whose presence and posts you must erase? This poster you don't like, do his posts magically and inevitably attract your attention so that you are obliged to read his posts? Is the only way of escaping/ignoring this Apolyton nightmare of yours a built-in feature?

Who will answer these questions in the affirmative? Step forward!

No! I wouldn't want to steal the honour from Dr Spike!

I might set up a "What are Civgroups?" Competition that could run in parallel with these though.

Now I've got to update my list.

I think one such compitition is enough...

So enough with the general discussions... make you picks soon, because this thread won't be open much longer.

got that right

the other reason is that I had 'encouragement' from Dr. Spike to do so...

Only once and it was recently. Used it on the obnoxious kiwi n00b in OT.
However I may use it again soon on Albert Speer because..well, just because.

I use the ignore feature on due to their "kicking someone when they are down" method of posting. This was on another site, but hey, they post here too.

Sorry to disappoint you dear Jamski but yes Feb 11th is taken, and so is the 12th, and so is the 13th, and so is ... In fact from Feb 9th to Feb 19th are all taken.

Don't be so lazy, somebody already made the list for you. You just need to check it.

I don't like the idea of ignoring someone. It means you are missing anything of interest in their posts.

There is one exception to my rule...

All so true, except for the fact this poster will post EVERYWHERE and yet post NOTHING. Fortuately the same poster has not been seen for some time here.

You all know who I mean. He has spammed your forum before - hell, he spammed EVERYone's.

March 17th

and a note to Bloody Monk/Theben/et al....I was nearly guilty of falling for this trap a few months ago, fortunately the search feature worked for me that day (as it often doesn't find what I wish to find)....though when I searched and opened the first thread that looked promising and saw a list of future dates I was more confused then ever ......at first....then it occured to me (after enough reading ) what I had fallen for ...or should I say almost fallen for

I too seldom visit forums outside of Civ2 and only come to the Community problem with questions about the site (which is rarely).

Yes, somethings can be confusing, but since everyone knows the drill, and DrSpike has the ond threads URLs saved somewhere noone tries to find them and post the links. But the beting must start.

Everyone got a good laugh when I--this time-- got curious and stumbled over this inside joke. And that's cool, because it is genuinely funny. But all these folk who post w/o checking the available dates...that's just sad.

Particularly because the available dates are in a list in a single post they can check against.
