Hello, this is Shawn's wife speaking. He asked me to post this on his behalf. He had been in the hospital and will be getting out tomorrow. He actually asked me to post this 2 weeks ago, but with everything going on I just forgot. Apologies to all this may concern.

(yes, heeee's back ) Thank you all for the patience. I'm back now, the IV's are out, I had a case of septicemia (bacteria in the blood) made worse by an understandable misdiagnosis. Will try to turn around now in under 24 hours. I'm going to posting my turn here because of network problems - it's complicated, I'm using a USB pen to transfer files to my wife's business machine. Thanks all for the patience while I was ill.

Turn to Lal. May have a funeral to attend, see sticky at top of OT. Don't know yet if I can afford the flight on such short notice. Will only let days gone to funeral interfere, will make sure I post and play immediately before and after.

At work on break, thunderstorms last night fried my cable modem, cable company replacing it tomorrow. Should get turn out just as soon as they deliver it.

Turn to Lal.
June 17, 2123 (entry from the diary of Jade Morgan)
Dear Diary,
Daddy was furious today. He's been ranting and raving about wanting Terraformers for ages, even though power boats and racing rovers are so much more fun. Those funny Greenies had it, so we got stuck with it. Oh, pooh. Recycling tanks are so much easier, and you don't have to get dirty unless you are a maintenance tech.
Well, after daddy got the data crystals from those Greenies, he started looking into why we hadn't been able to initiate any research into it. He started asking about it, and he found out why. When he called me into his office, I knew I was in for it. His index finger was just going tap, tap, tap on the desk.
"May I inquire as to how you single-handedly redirected the entire Research Division efforts." he asked. Well, what could I say? I mean, there's only so many guys you can date, if you know what I mean. And they get so boring so fast. At least the researchers are so grateful when a pretty girl dates them that they'll do anything you ask. So I did.
I tried to explain to daddy that it really wasn't that bad, just look at the stuff we had to trade. He just sighed, and said "Thank God for Research Director Currie and his wife. At least you couldn't get them into your bed, they're married and Katie Currie would have gone with Mirriam Godwinson if she hadn't insited the Earth was just over 6000 years old."
Daddy is so naive. When I finally got Josh and Katie into bed, they were the most awesome menage I've had since planetfall! I guess it's those repressed types. Hmm, maybe I'll ask him to post me as ambassador with Greenies. That Diedre lady could be interesting.
Signing off,
Jade
