City View
Why is it that in any of the Conquest/Senario games or games you've edited yourself in C3C, that you can not get a City view?

It is only allowed in "epic" games. So any scenarios will not have it. They did not make items for the new wonders and never filled out the aireal view.
So you only hav the capability to show the view as it stood in PTW.

Well what do you know. I never even realized it wasn't available in scenarios. Oh well it not like it used for anything.

It's neat when you've just flattened most of an enemy city and go to the city view and see lots of rubble.

they should add some animation to the city view. you know, when you capture a city after heavy bombardment, you'd see smoke rising from the ruins. it would be interesting.

but it is not important, of course.

Yeah I never think of it or the palace until I read a mention some place.
It would have been nice to have had a completely updated version, just the same. Even if I only looked at a few times.

They could put out a call for someone like GhengisFarb to provide some of the art.

Yeah, it loocked much better in civ 2 even though the houses weren't evolving, but still with the power of technology they went back instead of forward - weird. I like to go to city view and watch my cities. Tend to do it all the time, even know I sometime drop in my city to find that the button is not there keep forgeting all the time
