Whoo-hoo!! The first lawsuit, and it was filed in my home city. And guess what? It's a class-action lawsuit that covers all Americans, so I expect to be fully compensated for my pain and suffering.

Knoxville's Terri Carlin has filed a proposed class action lawsuit in US District Court against Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, CBS, MTV and Viacom. She alleges that viewers were "injured" by the exposure of Jackson's breast.
The lawsuit states, "As a direct and proximate result of the broadcast of the acts, [Terri Carlin] and millions of others saw the acts and were caused to suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury." It does not specify the nature of the "serious injury" but it seems to me that "outrage, anger" and "embarassment" are entirely within the control of the viewer, not the broadcaster. I'm outraged and embarassed every time I turn on CNN, but you don't see me suing AOL/Time Warner. Heck, I'm outraged and angry about Terri Carlin's lawsuit; maybe I should sue her?

The lawsuit also alleges that an "implied contract" between the broadcasters and performers and the viewers was violated. Carlin seeks billions of dollars in damages.

This chick is listed in the phone book. Anybody want to take odds on how long that number lasts?

Of course, with this money and the money coming to me for the RIAA suit that I joined last year, I ought to be headed towards retirement sometime about... 2034.

I suggest that women everywhere attempt to bare their breasts in public and especially attempt to bare them on live television until the country gets over its moronic puritanism.

I did some research some time in the past. Woman unttil the middle of the 20th century have to at time breast feed the small child in public an nobody make a big deal out of it. In fact the have woman dress design to help than woman breast feed without takeing the dress off, they have than square of cloth cut along 3 side with than button holding it in place to cover the breast all the woman have to do was unbutton it and hold the baby up to her breast. Even in Islamic Countries in the past they make allowance for the needed for than woman to breast feed small childern as part of the cycle of life. Christ was breast feed by his mother as there was no bottle feeding of baby and no baby formular or Walmart to buy it in.
