I don't hold much hope of Spaceus turning up anytime soon.

Strange... 24 hours ago as I checked Apolyton, I wasn't notified about updates in this thread, so I forgot to check it out...
Btw, orders sent...

Why "throw away" your vote on a lesser target than Spaced?

You can deflect their nukes yes, but you can't deflect to the terrorists

Report for February 6th, 2004
The main event today was the surprise nuclear destruction of Skanky Burns, as both Dr. Spike and ADG fired two nukes at him, destroying all four of his cities. Although Skanky was at first not unconcerned when the launches were detected, as he had activated his 'Bunker' force-field and rendered his nation immune to attack, he received a rude surprise when he was informed that a suicide bomber sent by Dr. Spike had destroyed the generating facility.
Meanwhile, the only uninvolved leader, Spaced Cowboy, continued to maintain a low profile and attend to unknown matters.

This game's too quick... we haven't posted 50 posts yet, but still there's only 3 players left

Yeah I haven't really been following the game, but it does seem that people died fast this time.

Too much influence from the mafia games. We are just trying to kill others without worrying too much about our own defence.
It would be nice if people who organised hits against other players actually bothered to send their own orders in on that same turn, though.

I think there's two reasons why this game has been so quick:
1) People spending much less time building cities before the nukes begin to fly (the first nuke came on turn 2), prompting people to switch from building to killing.
2) People making mcuh more use of the stockpile strategy (apparently my winning two games in a row with it brought it to everyone's attention), resulting in much bloodier exchanges.

Report for February 7th, 2004
Today saw some more nuking, albeit on a rather smaller scale, as ADG destroyed two of Spaced Cowboy's three cities, leaving him with only Zip. Spaced Cowboy had attempted to use his nuke stockpiles to eliminate all remaining players, but this dastardly plan was foiled by one of ADG's spies, who himself died in the process.
Meanwhile, the population of Dr. Spike's last city cowered in their shelters and hoped no-one would attack.

Isn't the usual consensus that once it comes down to the last few players, the terrorists stay out?
Anyway, the only one who voted was Skanky.

I voted before discovering there were only 3 players left alive. Everyone died so quickly this game.
