I was wondering about that too. How do we discuss tech trade, pacts, and so on.

As the rules state, we cannot discuss deals before we meet in game. I know that alpha.txt allows for checking that option (no diplomacy before meeting ingame in multiplayer) - if we play a scenario with modified alpha.txt.
We can discuss other things, no trading though

Started on the map. I went through a bunch, found one I more or less liked, given that you folks wanted 50-70% water! Balancing it up right now, I am using the SMAC 4.0 patch, gives you the borehole, inner sea, and the manifold nexus. Makes it easier to balance the starting locations.

Info - have map ready, player's starting positions balanced and set up, I just need a little help fine-tuning the AI, I want it strong but not building special projects before you folks have the chance. I just posted for some help on the creation thread, and emailed someone I know, so the game will be up just as soon as I get the answer. Please, post your emails so I can get the game thread going just as soon as I get my answer!

Tonight I'm off, will finish up the scenario, Darsnan gave me some tips to accomplish what I want. Should be on a roll by tomorrow, no later than Monday - and I took two days off since the inlaws are coming, so I almost guarantee by Monday.

Game Ready
Game ready. Went nuts trying to keep an enhanced AI from building secret projects. Had to totally redesign the scenario three times, and then when I got it right the fourth time, I realized I was in SMAX. Had to completely redo it. All I have to do is assemble the various and sundry passwords, and off we go. One heads up. The AI is much weaker (two one population colonies each) than what I originally tried, so that you all have a chance at the secret projects. The AI is going to grow RAPIDLY, so if you want an early SP, make sure you prioritize for it. I'll get the thread and game posted this afternoon, the title is going to be "Building Bridges".

This has nothing to do with timing.
You receive it, you play it, you forward it
It wont be good only if u have no time to do your turn for days
