Destruction of Wonders
I’m certain this question has been answered a thousand times. I just can’t find it.
I’ve never seen a city with a wonder razed in any game I’ve played. Does destruction of a city with a wonder make the wonder available for other civs to re-build, or is it a one time shot?
If so (one time shot) does this apply to Regicide victory conditions as well (where the entire civ falls to dust when the King unit bites it)?
If so, can this be changed in the Editor?
Danke

From my experience with destroyed wonders they are lost. But I don't know how it is in Regicide.

In epic games if a wonder is lost due to the city being raze, the wonder is gone forever.
I would expect it to be that way in all forms of the game.

What happens when the Manhattan Project is destroyed?

I would imagine that the ability to build nukes is a flag, and once the wonder is built that flag is set to "allow all nuke building". It should not matter what happens to the wonder after that. That is a guess though.

I have never known the AI raze a city with an active wonder but have seen it raze cities with obsolete wonders.
IIRC I did once raze a city containing Manhattan and it was possible to build nukes after that. It was a long time ago with vanilla Civ3 so I'm not absolutely sure.

Actually, I would guess that there's a flag called "Manhatten Project Exists" (and a similar one for every wonder, so the game doesn't have to search through the entire city list each time) and it checks that - and I'd bet that, like all wonders, that flag is turned off when it is destroyed.

So very correct. There is a flag that tells if a wonder is built.

So it ain't like certain anime where the knowledge of ultimate weapons can be destroyed.

Thanks - it sounds as though once the wonder is gone, it is gone. And if there is a “Wonder completed” flag that goes up once it is constructed, there is nothing I can do about that either, even in the Editor I imagine.
After thinking about it, it is probably for the best as a human player would likely exploit it to no end anyway(using palace pre-builds and “jumping” your continent wide wonders like Sun Tzu, Pyramids or Hoover to holdings on another land mass, once they’ve done their job on the mainland). And from a RL perspective, it probably accurate since once a Wonder of the World is built/wiped, other civs don’t replicate it.
