I suggest return it to our cities - we will need ships for our invasion towards Persia.
Where are we going to build the city on the south island?

This is an extract from the Senate Session:
BigFree: Move Sneaky Pete and Settler 2
Togas: last thing I saw was Rainbow moving 2
BigFree: ???
BigFree: that last was a question
Togas: I think I'm caught up
Togas: thanks
Paddy: how far are you taking Pete and the settler
BigFree: to right there
BigFree: next turn settle
BigFree: New city at 2-2-1 of Raiding Base
Paddy: putting a little pressure on Jean, good to see
BigFree: Jean will be one of first Targets
Paddy: so do we move Pete and settler 2 then?
BigFree: Move Sneaky Pete and Settler 2
This map shows the location dicussed:

hah, 10x
some info about th possible trades:
With Spain or Egypt (same prices):
Literature - 180 gold (not required for the next epoch)
Currency - 434 gold (required)
Monarchy and Republic - all our gold + some gpt
We will research the monarchy after 22 turns (at 100% - after 22 turns too )
with Spain:
Dyes for 161 gold
with Persia:
Silks - 146 gold
Persia sells the techs for more gold, so we are not interested.
We can aquire silks if we settle the west island(s). They will be easily defended with some warriors - only we have berserks.
All three rivals ar building the Hanging Gardens and The Great Walls and noone builds anything else.
My suggestions - to not trade anything with them except some military aliances but this should be discussed when we start a war.

1: Why Monarchy?
2: I would suggest trading as much as possible, it is often cheaper than researching and improves relations. Try not to break GPT deals, though.

1. Someone besides me made the choice for Monarchy. But, it's not a bad choice given that we are with out many lux's. Monarchy gives you a police limit of 3, and The Republic is 0. You get the same production in Monarchy as you do in Republic. You gain 1 extra commerce per tile that is already producing commerce in Republic. I think the fact that we can use Police instead of the slider for happiness will more than ofset the loss of commerce. Also, WW does not hit as hard in a Monarchy as it does in a Republic.
2. We have squat to trade. But, we are working on it. We have a city planned that will net us two more sources of Gems. We have, through RNG luck, aquired a source of Iron. Nobody else around us has it. They do not know we have it because it is not hooked up. If we were to find nother source of Iron we could really get a good price for it.

Fully agred on trading. If possible, buy a tech that only one nation has and then be the first one to sell/trade it to the other AI nations.
Also trade trade/sell our WM whenever possible.
On that note, it may be wise to continue to explore with the galleys. It will help to improve the value of your WM.

Are we planning on another turnchat next weekend?
I apologize for missing the last few sessions, but since it appears that we are headed for war, I really want to be here to lead my men into battle as SMC of the Vikings.

No one has Iron? I think we saw both the Persians and the Egyptians with a source.
Monarchy is better than Despotism, even for Vikings!
