So what´s your opinion to the second proposal?
Quote:

On the other hand, we would appreciate French support in our Eastern claims. If they helped us in getting back parts of Prussia and Silesia, we´d lay down all claims on France, sign any treaty they want us to and pay with any of the above mentioned things.

Russia to Germany :
Our analysts have estimated that the price necessary to compensate us for the loss of Kaliningrad would cripple you. Such sums cannot be easily given. However, if you feel confident you can pay the necessary amount, we will hold plebiscites in Kaliningrad. Of course you will not have to pay if there is not a majority in favor of joining you, but if we are to hold the plebiscite you must pay for the cost of it whether or not it comes out in your favor.

Leave us alone on Alsace-Lorainne, and we will look the other way no matter what way you acquire territories that you want to your East.

MFA Treaty News
Now that you have stated and critiqued eachother's demands, we will issue our formal, and unbiased opinion on what should take place.
1: Stop all military action, to prevent complications from arising
2:The demands regarding the government or governing of the people of the countries involved will have to drop. It is those differences between countries that make them just that. The MFA will not support subtle imperialism like that.
3:Imperialism of all sorts will not be tolerated. France shall give back all of the German Territories, as long as Germany conforms to the following stement that they issued.
Quote:
|
Note that we will pay for it, with money, trade goods, treaties, free elections, alliances or new European Union talks; So it´s more a purchase than a hostile take-over.
|
4: Luxemburg will be "liberated" and turned into a "free" state that is in no way under joint French German control.
5: SHould both countries decide to do so, then France could keep the Alsace-Lorrainne under certain "pre-determined circumstances".

Mexico World News
The Mexican Space Program is going well by Mexican Standards. We have installed doors in the "moon colonies, but we're still having a problem creating an economically feasible environment in which a person wouldn't explode.
Mexico has legalized all "soft" drugs for its people. The drugs, like everything else, are being produced on a massive scale for the people to enjoy in a hazy stupifying pleasure.
Ireland has joined the Morgan Freeman Alliance. The Northern Ireland issue is still being worked out. Negotiations are off to a rocky start, but they are, like everything else, expected to improve.
The Greater Central American Co Prosperity Sphere has, in the glory of mother Mexico, expanded to include Beliz, and El Salvador. Long live the proseperity of Mexico!!!!
Mexican efforts to rebuild the economy have almost improved to the levels that they were previously at. Soon, we will have an economy that will provide us with the funds to be able to post our stats, but until then, we can only smoke signal in vain.

Too much. Polls have indicated that our citizens don't approve of the idea of selling off citizens and territory.

We have hoped for a more active support of our Eastern policy then a simple "ignore". Like approval by France, political pressure on Poland and international justification given by France for the return of the old Prussian territories into Germany. That kind of support would open the door for a closer cooperatin between our countries... We´d like to hear your demands for this option.
While an "ignore" is still appreciated, it would have to be backed up by a permanent non-aggression pact and a more friendly representation of our country in French media to be worth dropping claims on Alsace-Lorraine...
Germany to Russia
Since the Soviet Union had expelled all German inhabitants from Kaliningrad and killed those who didn´t leave, it is forseeable that a plebiscite will result in a vast pro-Russian majority.
We thought of some kind of "friendly gesture" as a sign that history is burried and old debts are paid...
The friendly gesture on our side would be that we pay for it.
It´s just a town with a small harbour and some 50 km of land around it. It has no land connection to Russia and no natural ressources. The area has been German for almost 500 years and most of this time it held the royal palace of the Prussian kings.
After the second world war the Soviets obliterated the old town and rebuilt it with ugly socialist residental towers. It´s been one of the poorest areas of the Soviet Union and that situation hasn´t improved much till today.
We plan to rebuilt most of the old city, the castle and the royal palace as well as replacing the relicts of Soviet times by modern architecture with large parks and new industrial zones, especially "technology parks". A famous German automobile company has also agreed to invest into this area what would help the economic situation there.
All we ask for is to name your price.

Perhaps you should give Kaliningrad to Germany.
In other news, there are now many Chinese in Siberia! Would it not be most unfortunate if they were to stage a pro-China revolt?

We have looked into the possibility, and we hope that your friendly gesture in return is understanding that we cannot abandon even the smallest parcel of land without the citizen inhabitants' support.

Then, since you control the local media, we ask you to supply your "citizen inhabitants" with the information given by us as well.
Though we understand the general principle of not "abandoning" land, you surely understand the special situation this is. It´s not abandoning your heartland, it´s returning the former German capital to Germany... And since you would be paid generously, it´s a win for the Russian country.
Please reconsider your decision.

Alsace-Loraine is FRENCH. We own it. We will not beg you and pay you to let us have it.
However, if it lets you believe that we're doing so, we will sign a permanent NAP and will follow our libel laws stricter when German articles are published. No longer will the newspapers say that Germans have the ability to turn their necks 180 degrees and spit out fireballs.

We agree with all the other MFA compromises, EXCEPT that we ask for clarification on this one:
Quote:
|
1: Stop all military action, to prevent complications from arising
|
We don't use our military at all? We disband it?
France will agree to freeze its military growth (if Germany does).

The thing is that we´re negotiation about the return of Alsace-Lorraine, and went to the stage when we said it may remain French if France helps us regaining our Eastern territories instead.

So you won´t actively help us in the east? Fine. So the following will happen:
- Germany drops its claims on Alsace-Lorraine
- France declares its neutrality related to German affairs, e.g. it will not use German expansion to the east to declare war on Germany (or to make third parties declare war)
- France will stop anti-German propaganda through major media companies
- France and Germany sign a NAP
- Should one of the above points be violated by France, the whole treaty becomes obsolete
Agreed?

Is it allowed to determine the behaviour of NPCs oneself? I am referring to the rapid expansion of the MFA. I thought the moderator plays all NPCs to avoid godmodding...
I mean it´s not fair to write things like "I asked a whole continent to join my alliance and it agreed".
No offence, bipolarbear, it´s just a general question that needs clarification.

Thank God he's playing Mexico, and not the MFA. So it doesn't matter as much. If he just tells Norway "WOuld you like to become Mexican?" and says they say "Yes", THAT'S fishy. But at least it's a step removed.

I meant this as a simple question, not as sarcasm. After re-reading that post I noticed one might get a wrong impression...
I´m ok with it then. I just wanted to know whether it was allowed or not, so that others can also benefit from it.
Thanks for the clearification!
