Does not have to be unless people do not check their email regularly. With several European players you guys could zip through the ancient era quickly if everyone agrees to be available at a certain time schedule. Similar to online MP but done with email. Heck, it might even be faster with that many people. No lag. Just file transfers.
You C3C Europeans are making me jealous.

Top stuff. I agree that since we have seven, we should try a large (or even huge) world with no AI's. A total human game where we can all (hopefully) get a fair few number of cities up and running!
I think v1.15 is definitely the way to go - gotta have that corruption calculated correctly for a game such as this!
I can play early morning and anytime during the evening. Since I'm part of the european squad I'd therefore propose: (for the europeans)
Andydog -> Big Crunch -> McMeadows -> Fatwreck
..unless anyone comes back with reasons as to why they'd be a better turn order..
Lets get it owwn!

Just seen another european - MouseNightshirt - is keen, therefore for a 7 human player C3C PBEM, how about this turn order:
Andydog -> Big Crunch -> MouseNightshirt -> McMeadows -> Fatwreck -> Rasputin -> jshelr
(where did SixPack come from?)
Just trying to get things moving.. if this is a not cool suggestion then by all means suggest otherwise..
And just because my name is at the start doesn't mean I'm wanting to set it all up - we can start anywhere in that chain assuming it's all good.

Cool that makes 5 PTW players. Looks like both games just need to be launched. Unless you PTW guys want a larger game?
With 3 North Americans we could even start a smaller quicker scheduled pbem game like the European guys.
If the European guys are game for PTW we could have one massive pbem with the Aussies as well.
Anyone want to launch let me know when and then we can start discussing setup and rules for the PTW game.

Not only would I like to do the 5 and 3 AIs but also a North American quick game if we can all decide upon a scheduled changing time to be available to play. Like on-line but better with no lag and just file swapping. This can be done while doing other things while waiting for the other players turns for a few minutes.
For the 8 player I am thinking large or Huge. Continents for some limited contact before navigation to make things more interesting quicker and avg. age and wetness. I do not have a preference for random but would like for Roaming Barbarians or whatever its called just below Raging. Difficulty is also up for debate.
I can not wait to get this going.

No one has started yet that I am aware of but we need your GMT+- and I will add it to the list of names.
Note there can be any number of games concurrently going on. As long as you have the time to do your turn and forward the files.

This would be interesting. I can usually play from 4pm to 7pm EST and a group that can meet in the afternoon could really get a lot done.

If you still want to play, but not in an 8 person game, I will be up for a 4 player game set-up aswell.
I'm still in the big game.

OK discussions are moving more towards starting games and moving off to other threads started to post specific games turns movements.
Someone please review the pbem process again for us all so that everyone that has not played before can do so without fear of doing something wrong with the file transfers.
New updated listings for potential players and their game preference.

Should I start a sub listing for signed up games. Included so far would be the European fast local emailer, the North American fast local emailer, the Aussie fast local emailer, the Grand emailer, smaller individually decided upon predetermined number of players emailer games.
Left anyone out of the lists?
I am in for the North American fast emailer and the Grand emailer games.

OK Ouro_827 I move you into either category if you want to decline invitations to one or the other the option is yours. This listing is just for organizational purposes for getting a place to see all the possible posters who want to play a pbem. The actual Forums mentioned above would be created after the games have started by the individual games participants in order to chat and track who has the current game files. Easier to know who has the game when so you can better know when you need to be available to possibly play your turn and send it on to the others. More accountablility that way.

Ok if I missed some potential games let me know. Work out conflicts amoungst yourselves but I did also list game preference of C3C to PTW next to the appropriate names. I am not a moderator nor an arbitrator just a facilitator. These listed names were sorted by GMT times to facilitate faster global turn times by passing the game forward to the lesser time zones.
ex. GMT+0=8:00 p.m passes files to GMT-5=3:00 p.m. who recieves the files and plays later in the day or when possible.
Here are the times and preferences lists.

Another thought occured to me.
For those playing multiple games I propose that we all save the game files into a parent folder with a different name for each game as well as the games name itself. This should help to eliminate the confusion of multiple game files belonging to different games. Just keep the parent folders in one larger pbem folder and extract and play only one at a time. Must be precise if you are going to play multiple pbem games at one time.
With that said I will probably be the one to mess things up.
