Need Help w/ Access Problem
Something is very wrong here and I assume it is a problem at my end. Everything about the Poly Fora has been easy and simple for years, but for the past few days my access is difficult at best. The page does not display as before; now it is white background and featureless. Even though I am identified correctly, I have to login to do anything. Connection was refused when I tried to download a posted save game.
My options page is still as it was so my guess is that it is cookie related...but I don't have any idea what to do about it. Hopefully, someone will know what to do to fix this. Thanks in advance.
I want my Poly back!!

Full specs:
Browser (and version #)
Operating system
Internet connection type and provider
What other technical issues have you been having, any other sites not working, for instance?

If I get a problem I always try a different browser first. Do you have Opera?

Delete all the old Poly cookies, but don't block the site.

You need to give Poly "preferred" status.

Everything seems to work fine using IE or NS4.79, but no joy with my preferred browser, NS7, which had been working great.
NS7 works fine at other sites so it's probably a cookie deal. I haven't, to my knowledge, blocked anything and I don't know what preferred status is.
I am constantly being asked to login and then I get sent away from the board I was seeking. I cannot post at all with NS7 anymore. I get shunted to a page saying "No forum specified".
Assume I "lost" Poly's cookies somehow. How do I get them back and or, which specfic cookies do I need??

Well what changed a few days ago?
I know that Markos updated the 'upload' feature, and did some housecleaning. But did you change anything on your end?
"Preferred status" was just a way of saying you need to check your browser, or internet security software, and go into your options and allow this site (only) to download cookies into your computer. My guess is that whatever you're using, it's blocking the cookies each time they try to load.

Good call!!
I have no idea how it happened but you were right. Poly had been set to not allow cookies. Do you have any idea how I managed to do that?? Don't want to repeat that.
Thanks much,
Monk

No idea. I managed to messed up the display settings for 'Poly (only 'Poly though) in Firebird 0.7. Good thing now Firefox 0.8 is out, so that small bit of trouble is rendered irrelevant.
