NO NO NO
again and again:
1) SMACX does NOT need the XP patch, XP patch is designed for SMAC ALONE only, w/o SMACX
2) SMAC also does work proper w/o XP patch (download my package)
3) if you install xp patch you are NOT compatible to those w/o this patch
4) we DO NOT play with XP patch

NO
forget this dammed XP patch. We don't need it and it is not able to use for all and disturbes SMACX
I cannot and I will not install this patch. Those who don't have SMCX can download it, and then they don't need the patch ever

Damn those militant Gaians !!!
Again provoked into war after Gaian diplomats promised to vote for Chairman Lazerus and then conspired with Provost Dreifels to get the Lord Psycho elected Chairman Lazerus ordered the Hive war machine to battle crushing those would stand before the empire.
The Gaian spine was quickly broken thanks to the short distances between the empires and the tireless work of terraformer squads to build roads.
Provost Dreifels was rumoured to have committed suicide after hearing the news that his co-conspirer had been defeated and the Chairman was intent on weeding out all opposition.
good game again guys
was nice seeing my power jump something like 2-3 fold on the power graph when i built the planetary transit system, lol all those size 1 bases suddenly going BOOM.

Militant ... me?!! Lazarus .... please dont play anymore ... use some cracker utilities to reverseengineer smac .. and release an optimized version in a year to two (or three ...)
comment about the game;
was nice ... yes ... only that lazerus thinks agreeing outside of the game has something to do with an agreement ingame
as my parents use to say .. internet is not the real world
i say .. icq is not on same planet as my colonies were

sitting in the lobby waiting for it to launch and you agreeing to something after like 5mins of discussion then saying do we have a deal ? to which i agree counts as a deal to me !
anyways, in the end it worked out fine, dre gave you all those techs and then i took them from you
and in 13years after that fight i would have had enough votes so that the entire planet couldnt stop me getting elected.

Greetings Weekend players!
Can I get any file of those games?
Maybe autosave or save after crash?
Why didnt Firaxis work out a special tool for converting a game into a movie, so we all could see beautiful replays and store them as examples of brilliant strategy?
Command&Conquer (If you know that game) has such an option & theyre sometimes better than those Oscar-rated movies from HollyWood!

Im not a Hive player.. I not anyones player at all, but I believe that some facs are given advantages too big to call them balanced.. these are: Uni (For Netnodes), Morgan (for +1Eco +1Comm 100 Energy - this is too much. Almost in any situation Morgan gets +2 Comm actually), Hive (Because of early SE) and PKs (When using Pop boom strategy and having built Empath Guild they must then just get to MindMach and theyre victorious!)
But I can play any fac!
But I have no time to play on weekends!
I rarely have time at all..
Can anyone give me a .sav file then?
But archived please!

A question: Do you guys every time you have a TCP/IP session start a new game, or build on the one from the earlier session?

Friday night i can play eg, 19:00 onwards GMT
and anytime sunday, earlier the better say 14:00 GMT so we can get a good game and i don't have to stay up till 4am because last sunday when i did that i almost fell asleep on the train to work.
We either start new or if a game got cut off at an interesting point where a winner was undecided we would continue that game.

About how many turns are we talking here? I played against one human player on LAN, and getting to 2150-70 took us up to 10 hours.
