Welcome oerdin's sis.
Now, the question is, what embarassing stuff can you tell us about young oerdin's dodgy past?
Just because the guy happens to be the hero of the hour does not relieve you of your bounden duty to dish the dirt. Quite the contrary!

This deserves a new thread entirely dedicated to this subject.

Well, few are as interesting as the story about our '87 Escort!! Or, perhaps the Monza. Or the rental car.... But lets see if he can dodge these as well as the mortar rounds!!
And, as for my self, no tickets and one accident - hit by a drunk running a red light! And that was only 3 months ago!

Ok, so I flipped my mom's car when I was 16 and try to roll donuts. It could have happened to anyone.

that is pretty good
did she ever allow you to drive again?
my mom never let me drive and that was just because I scared her a couple of times when I was learning how to drive
and never having tickets or accidents does not a good driver make
I have had none of any of those, and am a pretty poor driver

Sounds like my brother -- rolled his practically-brand-new red Toyota pickup when he was like nineteen or twenty, then pinwheeled my mom's poor little old Toyota Celica maybe a year later.

I'm guessing you're younger than he is in addition to being a girl. But you'll have your own stories, give it time.

This is why teenagers should never be allowed to drive new cars.

I hated that line of thinking when I was a teenager, but now I definitely agree.
My first car was SUCH a PoS. But it was the right thing to give me. I was a freaking maniac back then!
And I still ended up getting a nice shiny new car a year later, which I was awfully happy about, but abused (never crashed it, but I drove it HARD, and it paid the price, barely eeking over 100k miles before it was clear I needed to trade it in to get rid of it before it died on me).

Actually, I am 3 years older.
I have 3 kids of my own. My step child is old enough to drive but, sadly, her grades prove she is not responsible enough. I agree, teens should never be allowed to drive. AT ALL. : )
And I have a shiney new car.... Last one only lasted 187k...
But, I am a girl. Right on one count!

How does one flip a car, anyway? Doesn't seem like it would be all that easy to do.

Sounds like Oerdin needs to acquire a used tank from the army and outfit it with warning lights and big sirens to warn other traffic that he's approaching

Now, now...we're trying to rebuild Iraq, not flatten it.

I thought it was already flat and we were just trying to turn the surface into a nice sheet of glass.
