I'm in I'll send you my address via pm. Do not want the world at large to grab it. Civ preferences are any of the following:
Americans
Vikings
Russians
Romans
Carthaginians
In that order.

Hey mart7x5 are you up for Western Hemisphere-Pacific Rim also. Started a thread for Rasputin , Ouru_827, you, and I to play another if your interested check it out.
I am leaning towards the Vikings for this PTW North America game this time.

You mean AIs in addition to Humans?
More for larger map is fine by me.
For maps I prefer continents and avg. age and avg. teperature. But will play anything.
Any body pm jsherl yet.

Ditto.
Hey Rasputin instead of waitng for everyone else since we are both so eager to start you launch a 2 human player just me and you and about 8 to 10 AIs on a large or huge map. I will pm you my address don't want it on the big Forum boards. We can play that while the others over hear are snoozing tonight and get a fresh start on the bigger human game tomorrow when everyone gets around to it. For me I am ready right now.
I'll play both anyways.
Lets start a little turbo start of our own while waiting for the others to join in here. Just name it something different to keep it between the two of us. Like 'Texas Lamb Chops from down under' or something shorter but similar.

Also try to reduce the number of programs running in the back ground as PTW tends to want alot of room to run. You can keep your browser open but any applications I would recommend shutting down while playing your turn and then sending the save file.
While doing a few things in between turns and not closing them when I attempted to play my turn I caused a few problems with the programs conflicting. So avoid this if you can.
Also if someone wants to specifiy certain scheduled times to be available for a rapid series of transfers I am keen to this kind of an idea but it might take 20 to 30 minutes per turn to cycle the file around the circle this way so you could accomplish other tasks while awaiting your turn. Just a suggestion for getting a quicker start.
Looking forward to a good pbem game.
Ohh... also most helpful is after sending the files forward please post in this thread that you have done so. This is because sometimes emails may not make it and we sit idle while one person has sent the file forward but the next player never actually received it. Just check the forum and where the file is currently should be easy to follow.
I suggest using the filename PTWNA(turn#).SAV for the file format so those engaged in multiple pbem games can keep things more clear about what files belong to what games.

Well, that's all good for those of you who do it at home, but I play at home and mail at school... Means I normally only get one turn a day. On that note..
4000 BC to Mart! The Ottoman's salute you!

mart7x5 please send the files from after you turns save. The files sent are from before your turn prompting for the Romans at start up.

The players under the PTWNAturn1.SAV were as follows.
1.Ezra-Celts I assume this is Oruo_827
2.Rasputin-Ottomans actually the Aussie
3.Mart7x5-Rome had to resend because he sent me the save sent him
4.AA(me)-Americans
No jsherl
this is OK if we want to start over that is OK but if we want to start another with jsherl also that is fine.
The file save was sent back to Ouro_827 as the next player was an AI Tokugawa.

yes, each game should be in separate thread with a unique name, like - "Amber Potatoes" for example or else. First post should state players with (spam protected, preferrably) emails. brings order....
----------------------------------
frankly at the moment i have no idea what game i made the turn, was it north america or pacific rim or rimmless america....
