Well we can use the opening of a new floor as the grand occasion for a huge party.
Btw, it's urgent time to come up with a new name for the tenth floor. How about, since it will most likely be the last rec commons for this ACDG, calling it:
"Tenth Floor: the Rec Commons at the End of the Universe"
or
"The Recreation Commons - Tenth Floor: So long, and thanks for all the Xenobrew"
Yes, I just finished reading the Hitch Hiker's Guide.

The end sucked though, but I guess that's kind of fitting in such a crazy universe as the one depicted in those books. And especially in those books, it's "the (fun) journey that counts, not the goal".

I loved the ending. He has to die at some point, and I think it's quite a fitting end, especially to the Agragag side plot.
And yes, soon this will close

Ah yes, that was more a more traditional likable end where all story plots were closed etcetera.

Nope, none. But I've heard about the existence of "The Purpose of Liff" and IIRC "The Deeper Purpose of Liff". The titles certainly seem appealing.

I dunno, I prefer the last one. He needed to die, and the constant killing loophole was a great addition, IMHO.

He only co-wrote those, IIRC. He also wrote The Dirk Gently Mysteries and Long Dark Teatime of the Soul.
I'll give a free drink to the first person to tell me what the radio series included, and in which order, in terms of the books.

Hmm, I think I read that in the introduction.
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
some part of "Life, the Universe, and Everything"?
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
another part of "Life, the Universe, and Everything"?
In any case, something complicated.

Well I thought of it as a fitting end, but it just didn't feel to me like a good end. I guess deep down I just wanted everyone to live long and happy ever after.
