Who Started It?
Back from playing some civ (it's getting the best of me ) and I have some questions. Namely, on the mechanics of "starting" a war (under Democracy and Republic).

1. In numbers, what are the immediate and long-term effects on WW if you

a. declare war on a civ?
b. are declared war on?

2. When you fail an espionage mission and as a result, the AI declares war, who started the war?

3. What are the benefits of being declared war on by a "traditional enemy"? What counts as a traditional enemy anyway?

Thanks in advance!

I forgot some

4. If you join an alliance with civ A which is already fighting civ B, who started it?

5. If your MPP partner is declared war on and you join the fray, who started it?

I believe declaring war on an AI penalizes you with more War Weariness, and higher WW penalties.

If the AI declares war on you, you do still suffer some WW, but not as bad as you would suffer if you yourself declared war.

Not sure about the others.

Hope that helps.
