Rah,
I was more trying to figure out if more than 1 in the "same" direction (accel, brake, right, left) is a known WC move, how about 1 in each direction? However, from your answer it is clear that:
1. More than one speed adjustment counts as a wildcard.
2. More than one directional movement counts as a wildcard.

O=oil slick
3. crash jamski and spike
Jamski is in front and Dr. Spike is now behind. There is now an oil slick under the 3 car which will show once they have moved. New speed jamski 3 dr spike 2.
speed,WC
1. Spaced Cowboy 4,5
2. Alva 3,1
3. Jamski 3,6
4. Skanky Burns 5,4
5. Jonny 4,4
6. Drogue 4,5
7. ADG 3,3
8. DrSpike 2,5
This will hurt both cars, so the ref deems it non-intentional.
The cars bunch up even more for the first tight turn. But the trailing cars crash instead of making a move. THE CROWD senses more blood soon>
Edited to correct error pointed out by the DR.

Sent. Please don't crash into me Spaced. You don't *need* to use a wildcard this turn

Sorry Dr. I messed up reading the car numbers. I did the roll on car number so the track listing is right and my verbiage is wrong. My apologies. Damn, my first mistake. It looks simple, but I'm finding it's not.
The worst thing was you burned a WC to get into the accident.

Okay.
And to the WC yeah it's a bummer. Those that started on the left seem to be at a disadvantage though, since without that wildcard I wouldnt get to the optimal line.
Now I have all the time in the world.

Perhaps the +1 off the slipstream should depend on a die roll too.

Slipstream doesn't accelerate you though, it just gets you 1 square ahead for "free". You will still be going the same speed next turn however.

I tried hard on the track design to make it as fair as possible, especially after my rant the last game about how unfair my start was. (even though I eventually won the race)
It was possible to get optimal without using a WC but I figured that only one would have to be used at most. It was still as even as I could make it. And the starting positions were randomized, so it would be hard to make it much fairer. So any disadavantage was minor at best.
AND NO using the S command as a result of a crash. If you are still in the same relative position next turn, then you may do it.

I did, but I was worried you'd use a wildcard to move further right, which may well cause a crash. For me to do anything other than what I have would involve me using an extra wildcard on the turn.

Wow 6 orders for turn 7 already submitted. Too bad Jonny doesn't check in earlier.
And Drogue, those types of decisions will become the norm for this section of the track and one other which is even tighter.
Hopefully the track/rule were designed to keep everyone somewhat close.

Unless rah's designed a massive track, then you can look forward to a particularly evil hairpin coming up quite soon. That will definitely be one for the crowds to keep an eye on. The great leveller? We'll see when the cars reach it.

I know Just thought I'd tell SC, in case he wants to not crash I want to save some wildcards for the second lap.

Yeah I saw the start, and the rant. I thought it was quite funny.
Fair enough on the randomness comment, and tbh its Jamski's driving thats the real issue and I can't blame that on the track.
