Also, Heuij's avatars are always the best. Mine isn't any slouch either. Nice, crisp, simple and clean. A classic example of good logo design.

I actually like the hasslehoff avatar. It works in an "avant-garde" sort of way. It's funny, and certainly makes you more identifiable than the dull, blah mediocre avatars that seem to dominate the boards right now (michaelthegreat, slowwhand, I'm looking at you guys).
It takes the old saying to heart: if you can't be famous, be infamous.

don't worry, Busta - the nerve stapling is cool. a delightful inside joke that's clear and easy on the eyes.

Yea, one of the moving ones that doesn't annoy the crap out of me. I am also ok with the warrior defeating the tank and waving his spear. That one rocks.
Though Rasputin's anime girl that winks at you is kinda freaky. Actually its so subtly done I think it gets a vote from me for one of the best. You hardly notice she is winking, then you catch it and its just weird, hehe.

Y'all are jealous... I guess I would be too if my team wasn't the Devils and we hadn't won 3 Stanley Cups in 10 years.
Don't worry, I'll replace it when we win the 2004 Cup .

I would have to say:
Best Avatar:
Non-Civ Related:
Emperor Fab's "Dancing Cow" - for some reason it is just so cute! (and hypnotic). I love it!
Civ Related:
Skywalker's "Spearman beats Tank" - You all have to admit, it's a classic!
Worse Avatar
No vote - I have (as of yet) not run across an avatar that has truly turned my stomach.

I'm thinking of chaning my avatar to Stalin, from the original Civilization diplomacy screen. Thoughts?

I really like Zop's referee avatars.

Let's give that Mariah avatar a try.
After I've saved my current one.

Mono, that's no good. 100 by 100
And that picture distorts when you shrink it to 80 by 80. I've tried.

I thought that apolyton LET one have 80 by 80 avatars...
"Sated with superbowl gloating?"
Now that you mention it... not quite yet. Maybe in another couple of weeks. Stalin will definitely be next though.
Hmmm... I just checked and ben kenobi is right...
It's still pretty good though

And that's why guys like you come to guys like me: because we know style better.
I like that photo more because it seems more natural, less stagy. Also, the muted tones of it make it seem much more relaxed. Also, Mariah herself looks like a much more mature woman in the photo. The final touch is the smile which, while still present, does not seem so forceful as the previous one.
Switch back if you want, by all means. I wouldn't do it though.
