Austrian Civ?

OK, I was looking through the C3C art files and I found a leaderhead for Charles V of austria, a king unit for him, and the hussar UU art-
Now, is this civ used in any of the conquests? (perhaps the medeival one?) or is the art simply there?

Anyone add this civ to the whole C3C group to play woth it? Anyone have any ideas what the traits should be, where Hussar goes on the tech tree..anything like that?

I believe it is part of the Napolean conquest.

Also, there was a plan to add the full civ to the epic game, but it wasn't done because of hardcoded total limit of 31 civs.

In the "Files" or "Creation" threads, there's a mod for the epic game that includes Austria, but someone had to be removed, in this case the Celts.

I've played several games as the Austrians on a Europe map. Fun if you like to be squeezed in from all sides, with the hanging decision about which direction to expand.

If you want the Celts in, you can always use the editor to delete someone else and add the Aussies.

ya know, thats one of the biggest issues i got with ignorant (american) people. They ask me where i'm from, i say austria, and the next question has something to do with "Down Under".

Do austrailians sometimes get confused with austrians 'down under' ?

I did not see the movie, but my feeling is that most are even dumber than depicted. But I suspect that is universal.

Since we were talking about Austria, I didn't expect to confuse anyone by using the term "Aussies". After all, Australia isn't even in the game, hidden or otherwise.

Whatever the context, the word Aussies is pretty unambiguous and has nothing to do with Austria.

Nah, us Aussies are criminals from England, Scotland and Ireland. The Austrian ones fled to Brazil didn't they?

No offence intended. Actually I've only visited Austria once, some years ago....but to me it's one of the most beautiful places in Europe and probably the world.

While my time as the lab supervisor of my university's computer labs, I happened to be on duty when a student asked me for help.

I don't recall what it was but I remember it was something insignificant. If he took five minutes to try to figure it out on his own, he probably would have.

Anyway the point is that I noticed the title of a paper he was working on, "Jewish Genocide in Australia" or something like that. Being a history major, I went 'Eh?' and my curiousity got better of me so I quickly scanned his essay. I figured out soon enough he was talking about Austria.
