Yeah, me too.
Probably better to test it out for a while first before playing pbem.
Lots of goodies and ideas.
Must sleep now so more later.

After turn 2110BC @ PLayer sent to Rickety Clik.
New turn 15 3 player sent as well.
OK Rasputin we can test it out when its a little further along. Probably later this weekend or earlier next week depending on how much time I put into it between now and then.
Currently we have the following resources added in: - Copper strategic found in hills and mountains
Tin strategic found in hills and mountians
Sheep bonus found in hills
Hard Wood strategic found in Forests
Hemp strategic found in Forest and Jungles
Dates bonus found in desert only
Oasis bonus found in desert only
Pearls bonus found in coastal
Crabs bonus found in coastal
Cotton luxury found in plains(Have to native Texan but like silk)
Fruit found in Jungles
Thats I think about it for resources. They are meant to give the more inhospitable terrains of Jungles and Deserts more life sustaining abilities and introduce some more strategic resources needed for building certain units. Like copper and tin for bronze weapons then copper, tin, and iron for steel units later. Copper or Tin for computers and electronic components. Hemp for early naval units and Hardwood for later masted ships and ancient eras more durable fighting ships.
I borrowed the resource template file from the Balancer scenario currently but will look also at others later this week. The template should only change the art tile appearances for the resources not their game play mechanics usages.

PLaying my turns soon. Have another annoying JGL.dll error caused by CIVEXE again. Uninstalling and reinstalling again from scratch. Wish I knew what was causing this behaviour.

Something to do with Direct X or Active X and Open GL all graphics programs that the Civ programs use by calling on the COMs or Component Object Models libraries, the .dll dynamic link library, in C++ code.
The .exe file or the programs main file that runs the game is looking for something it cannot find and crashes leaving the other libraries containing he COMs open. Normally you call for a COM and then close it when you are done. Since the program crashed these COMs are left open and interfere with trying to run the main program again because it attempts to re-open whats already open if you try to launch the game again. Very frustrating. Requring a re-boot to close out the open programs forcefully by shutting the entier system down and re-boting from scratch even then sometimes they remain open or something else wil not allow the program to run until the .dlls are replaced. The only place where they are is on the CD so re-install and start over.
Probably caused by me toying around with the game editor to create that new sceanrio I mentioned. I guess I am doing something the programs main exe does not like or cannot recognize.
Sent turns to Rickety and will play the other 2 player and send very soon.

Bad news fellas. My hard drive is fried (on a friend's PC now). Taking it to a technician tomorrow, hopefully back soon.
Here's what happened: a friend of mine was given a PC, which was having trouble, so I tried to fix it for him. Tried to reformat his HD, it stopped responding. Brought it home, installed into my PC as a slave, tried to reformat it from there. It didn't respond. My PC started acting funny, and a day later, sudden collapse. Now my HD isn't responding. What do you reckon, a boot sector virus?
