#3: You play a treasure hunter and elf. Your companion is some kind of tiny winged woman, possibly a fairy.

It's kinda the Genesis answer to Zelda. The games are pretty similar except this one is more of an adventure game with more puzzles all round and several interaction-based puzzles. I'll post a screenshot and see if anyone recognises it.

I'm not good on console RPG's (I only ever played Zelda).........I can only remember the famous ones, such as Landstalker which is probably too obvious for you to choose. But I'll try anyway.

I've never even seen a Genesis, let alone played on one, so I'm bowing out now.

I am too actually. I confess I did not use any of the clues at all, since I have never played this game. I would probably have guessed it earlier, but I doubted you'd pick such an 'obvious' game, and I'm sure there are many console RPG about which I am blissfully ignorant.
Ok, game later.

Well, it's not the Fettucine Brothers' circus from the Secret of Monkey Island...
Nor the Carnival from Sam and Max Hit The Road...

Argh! make the evil clown music go away!
I never used to like games like sonic/mario because of the awfull tripped-out-circus music, in fact Zool was evil because of that insane style of music?
Doc please no more midi clues on this one please - i'm getting the vibe believe me
the clue about the famous scene is a good one, not that it helps me at the momment......
Is it Barbarian(Palace software), but a console version with awful music? And the famous scene will be the beheading of an opponant and kicking the head across the screen?

Hehe no, but I'm afraid I'm continuing with the midi theme for this particular game. I'm picking ones that aren't too obvious at the moment, although the first one is guessable.

Damn you, and your one guess per post rules!
If any of these actually wins then I'll laugh out loud and attract unwanted attention to my desk.
