Hopefully DoY will make himself look silly before he reads this post. It is not Afterburner. New .midi is attached. This one is a theme for a central character, particularly at the beginning of the game. Someone should get it now.

Sorry Spike, I read your second post first. Will try harder to embarrass myself next time though - I promise!

Simon the Sorceror?
Im torn between it either being a platform game(collect object to use in x location, avoid monsters kina thing) or a point and click adventure.
maybe you should read the rules on posting clues
Edit: actualy dont read them - i'm enjoying this

Ahh, now that you posted that I got it, I was sniffing very close earlier on.
That's the Largo theme, the game is Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, and the talked-about scene is the infamous ending.

Actually the first was the spitting contest. The second was the cook's theme, and that part was at the start so I thought someone might get it.
But you are correct..........over to you.

Right. You went all music, I feel I need to up the ante and go all shapes. All of the following clues will feature approximate black-and-white artists renditions of shapes that occur somewhere in the game, in the opening titles, on menu screens, in game, on the losing screen... Interpret as you will.

Yeah - I remember the shapes being three different colours (red, green and blue), but can't remember the name of the developer.

Well I'm going for Populous (I'm also guessing Populous II because it's unfair if I've guessed the first one and someone else comes in and gets that - it's not scattergun honest!). I have an idea that the first outline was of one of the order buttons to raise/lower land (?). I'll probably have a better idea after another clue though.

Yes it is the Electronics Arts logo. The other reminds me of a half German WW2 symbol. I think that this is an older on, cuz they stopped using the EOA stuff a while back.
I'm going to need another clue. EOA did way too many games.

My second guess is 'Eye of the Beholder' (my first was Tetris).

I'm convinced that the first image is from an icon of some kind. I thought it was Populous' raise/lower land, but it might be cast spells in EotB or anything.
