Is there a problem with Apolyton Dowloads at the moment?
Just a quick question.
Is there a problem with downloads at the moment. I have been unable to download anything from Apolyton CTP2 for over a week now. I tried going to the old files from the news page and also links in this forum and nothing happens????

I downloaded yesterday an attachment with out any problem. Just tried a download out of the directory and no problem.
So I assume, it must be a problem on your side.
Worthwhile checking if you use any Firewall, Antivirus software and router. It might be them blocking it.

Not having any problems myself either. What exactly happens when you try to download a file? Do you get an error?
(Thread moved to the appropriate forum for these kinds of issues)

Are you using Norton Internet Security adfiltering?

Ah yes, should've thought of that myself (god knows I'm confronted with it every day at work), probably it.

Sorry I havnt got back straight away.
I have just got back to playing CTP2/Cradle/My own expanded ancient mod after a break of 5 months. Played EU2, Chariots of War and Civ 3 Conquests. Found I could only compare them to CTP2/Cradle and grew to hate each one very quickly, especially Civ 3 which I rate one of the worst games re flow of game play ever.
It was the Norton ad blocker which I have now disabled.

I found that a turn in Civ 3 towards the end could take up to 45 minutes because of all those units to move individually. And that excuse for stack movement buggered up so many attacks for me when a unit sneaks into a stack near the end of its move during auto cycling then you try to move the stack and find it has lost most of its movement.
I had to stop playing when I noticed large amounts of my own hair on the keyboard.

He can't move it back. So now it's here for everyone to see and stamp on. But since I've never played CtP, and still is looking for somewherer to buy CtP2 (to be able to take part in the source code project) I can't compare it to Civ3, or any other game for the matter either.

You can only move threads out of forums you control. You can't "steal" threads from other forums, even if they were originally there to begin with.
