What are the criteria for threads to be included in the Archive?

Does that mean we can't bump those threads anymore?

Mark did you see Carolus's thread a while back on old Civ2 strategy threads?

Well I just searched for 15 minutes (using the new search as well) and I can't find the thread. Searching for Carolus Rex is no help........I'm sure it was in this forum. I checked the archive also.
Anyway it was a thread about old Civ2 strategy threads that were accessible in some circumstances. He wondered if there was a way to make the others accessible. I can't be more specific than that. If anyone else that remembers the thread can link to it I'd appreciate it.

Good.
I had the same worry as MrWIA when I saw the Civ3 - Democracy Game on the list.

What DrSpike is asking for is basically for the old uBB archives to be converted to vBB. It would be absolutely great if that were possible, but I doubt it.

I remember that, and oddly enough found it and was reading it in the civII-strategy forum yesterday. So it's probably in the archives.

But it wasn't in the Civ2 forums I thought. It was here IIRC.

errr... sorry... I meant the old thread that Carolus Rex (or Slowthinker?) was referring to in the A/C thread you mean... interesting because I thought it was in uBB format, but I also found it here in current foremat, in the civII forums.

And it's still there. Survived Markos scrubbing attempts.

I don't think that attachments in archives has worked ever since the change in format.
Attachments in posts are refered to by the postid, and not the attachmentid, and when looked up in the attachment table it wont find the postid in the post table to check what the attachment id is.

Example:
forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=1837062
isn't found, but referes to
forums/attachment.php?s=&attachmentid=40082
I see two possible solutions: either make the attachment.php look in the archiveposts for postids not found, or change the url of attachments in the archive to the attachmentid.

Are you referreing to images?
In that case you are probably using a good webbrowser which doesn't show any placeholders for missing graphics (as for example Mozilla Firefox)

You can wait until Markos fixes it if he does. I don't have time to dig up IDs until after my exams...
