Faces of Apolyton - an update
By DrSpike's and public request, it was said that the FoA interviews must continue. I said they will, and in a few days disappeared from Apolyton for the entire February, that being caused by not-so-good real-life reasons that are irrelevant.
I have, though, just returned, and am continuing from where I left. I've just obtained Gramphos's permission for an interview. He says he'll be too busy in the next two weeks because of his exams. However, notice that the new amazing civgroups feautures are done by him - definitely worth an interview, even if it wasn't for his other numerous achievements.
If you have anything you'd like me to ask him, post your questions here.

No questions, but glad to hear that this feature has not died.

Oww, if I stole the job Spike wanted to do, that's not good news, either.
OTOH, you can look forward to the Gramphos interview once we start it, and well yes, it even looks like the Locutus interview might be out there, too.

If you guys meat every now and then, there is no reason why 'jobs' would get 'stolen' IMHO
(note, I'm just pushing slightly 'cause I kind of like the interviews as it is one of the few means we have to learn something (real ) about someone )
The more the better, you see..

I just reread some of the old interviews. They are so good! Solver, you really must get back to it!

You didn't.
And thanks Alva for your support, but I will wait until Solver steps down, if at all. The reason I was pushing hard was that this feature is a good community feature IMO and lets be honest it was completely dead. If, with a little prodding, Solver is going to come up with the goods then that's fine.
You can consider me the interview regulator, ever vigilant for the feature fading away again.

Ask him these for starters:
What is the meaning of life?
Who deserves to be ranked #1 in college hoops: Stanford or St. Joseph's?
Would you rather: Live in a world where you needed a quarter to get into every bathroom (including the one in your home) -OR- where every bathroom only had one square of tissue?
(If you need more let me know!)

We really need a "Faeces of Apolyton" feature to grill some of the OT's more colourful characters.

Heh, on-topicers have been my main focus, and so they will remain, although I'm not against the idea of some interview with OTF posters as part of the series. But, in these cases, I need some serious help, as my knowledge of OTF posters isn't too good, and I would be unable to do a decent interview with most of them.

You Americans do horrible things to our glorious language, and that's why you end up getting confused by my play on words. It's spelled "faeces" in the original Queen's English.

Let me clarify. "Faces of Apolyton" is the officially-sanctioned, reverential interview series in which the worthies (from the forums where not many posts are made) get interviewed.
What I was suggesting was something decidedly unofficial, aimed at the more entertaining wingnuts on the OTF, that probably wouldn't be reverential in the slightest.

Well, Laz, if you decide to start with those series and make some interviews, I'll be reading them.

I'd just love to see the "faeces of Apolyton"
And I'm damn glad to see Gramps will soon get his interview at FoA too

I believe Derek (ie, Ted Striker now) had some of them. He interviewed me and some other chap. Forget now.

Btw, what's the list for the officially sanctioned Faces?

He interviewed Provost Harrison, I believe although that might have been a parody interview... although Derek's interviews were ALL parodies
