- Some scientists believe that Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis coexist until 15.000 years ago
- This race was born in Middle East in 70.000 BC.
- They first fossil was discovered in Neander Valley, Germany in 1856
- No one knows exactly why they disappeared; maybe any disease present in Homo sapiens was fatal to Homo neanderthalensis.
- There is people how believes some Neanderthals are living this days, in small villages without contact with the civilized world, in governments secret labors or hide in the Himalaya.
Civilopedia, Cave Man (UU):
Replace standard Warrior, they have these characteristics:
- Cost 20 shields, instead 10.

What a great idea!
You might like to have a look at http://members.iinet.net.au/~chawkins/heaven.htm to find out more about Neanderthals.
But I would say it seems a bit unfair to make them Militaristic - there's no reason to suppose they were particularly violent, and the fact that we wiped them out might suggest the reverse.
Also, the names you have for the military leaders are the names of other hominid species, not Neanderthal individuals at all. Obviously there are no known Neanderthal individuals, so you're going to be a bit stuck. "Lucy" was not a Neanderthal but a much earlier African hominid.

Plotinus, this site rocks, there are a lof of information to be used. Thanks!
Nobody know if they were pacific or violent, but majority people think the cave man were warriors and hunters, make this civ violent is a good idea.
Oh, I know about the military leader names, but I do not have a better idea to complete it, so I use this species names.
Regards!

Since they were hunter gathers, I would think less likely to be easy going.
Anyway it is a fantasy, so it can be what ever you want.

They were definatly not expansionistic...that's one of the key reasons they died. They prefered small isolated communities, even during the warmer periods they never ventured too far except to hunt game or if their settlements got too big.
I would go Millitartistic - Industrious
There is a lot of evidence that they were single-minded and very hard to distract once they had a task at hand. Plus they were very good at adapting to many of the new ideas the Homo Erectus brought with them.

Oh dear! Are you even sure you answered the questions correctly?) Underneath your confused exterior, you hold fast to your certainties and seek to find the truth about the things you don't know. While you may not be brimming with confidence and energy, you are content with who you are and accepting of both your faults and the faults of others. But while those around you love you deep down, they may find your nonchalance somewhat infuriating. Try to put a bit more thought into what you are doing, and be more aware of your surroundings.
