3450 BC sent to Germans
------
We might have started with 3 settlers maybe, game slowed down a bit now. I saw some Barbarians, had to flee - they easily kill scouts

At least they are not DyP barbarians.
Earliest are Swordsmen types at 2/2/1 and then once mounted show up its worse at 4/3/2.
Hard to kill and cause lots of havoc early. I guess historically correct, very dangerous menace to society and civilization growth.

Mostly barbarians are conscripts, so any veteran worrior should be strong enough to win. I haven't checked if deity difficulty still have conscript level of barbarians...

Rasputin must have been very unlucky with the workers. It is good to defend them somehow, or maybe explore the surrounding area for possible barbarian camps. Once destroyed barbarian camp can be reestablished, if it is in no-man's region, that is what I have noticed from my single player games.

Use the PTW outposts after masonry to reveal more of your borders on mountians they show 3 spaces in all directions. The worker created to do this are also good for capping your population growth speed in faster growing cities before you are connected to multiple luxuries and have happiness generating city improvements built to make them productive as city citizens. Better to have the population points as usable workers rather than wasted entertainers. The Outposts are good for spotting Barbarians especially the mounted ones before they can attack your defenseless units. I can not recall ever seeing a Barbarian encampment spontaneaously appearing in revealed territories so they also give you some barbarian borders as well as sighting distances for rival civs approahing your turf.
