Ok how do I play multiplayer?
I have the original Civ2 cd which I bought like 3 years ago, just wiped the dust off of it and found out theres a multiplayer option now. Well where do I download the patch to play multiplayer? Dont tell me I have to buy the game all over again just to play multiplayer...

Apollo, try this link for starters:
http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum2/HT...tml?date=20:32
Have fun.
Edit: Just re-read your post a little more closely. If you've the original Civ2 game, which doesn't have the MP option, then I'm afraid you're going to have to buy one of the MP versions. Well worth the investment!

Some kinda good news though-you should be able to pick up a copy of a multiplayer version for around $20US.

Believe me, multiplayer is definitly worth the cost ...that is, unless you don't want to be addicted all over again

If all else fails, Apollo, I have a PC copy of Civ, the Ultimate Civ Collection version. I'm a Mac player, but I bought it to play on the Mac (via SoftWindows) before the Mac version came onto the market. I have no need for it anymore, you're welcome to it. I'm happy to mail it.

Careful!!! He offered me the same thing. Two weeks later, I had a CD full of kiddy porn in my computer (cleverly disguised in a CiV2MP jewel case) and a bunch of Jackbooted government agents kicking down my door! I'm sending this from Federal Prison .
(JK...I'd take Fin up on his generous offer...he's one of those rich writer types--it'll fulfill his desperate need for philanthropy )

On the contrary, SS. I turned down your request on the basis that inhabitants of third world countries already get enough charity support. Now Iceland, that's a different kettle of ice fishing.
Edit. Apollo - I'm sending it off today. I can't find the original cover for the CD, so I'm using a spare one I found.

Jeez, I could've auctioned off the bastard.
Sorry, Hydey, it's already winging its way to the Arctic climes. The lady in the Post Office thought I was joking when I said I wanted to send a parcel to Iceland. First, she didn't know where it was. After I told her, she had to dig into her computer's depths to find the cost of postage. I can only wish the best of luck to any Olympic athlete from a less-than-high profile country trying to send something home from an Oz Post Office.
