Chat =vs= Threads
Due to a connection problem that keeps some Europeans out of Apolyton, I cannot access the chatroom at all, and have limited access to the Forum.
Read more about it here.
So my request is that all important decisions are made on the Forum, and not in the chatroom. It's difficult for Europeans to participate anyway due to the time differences.
Thanks a lot!

I certainly intend to push that here in this demo game.
At a minimum if we discuss game issues in chat we need to get into the habit of posting the chat logs all the time.

I agree, as a non-chatter. This is my largest complaint with the current ISDG.
At least in the early stages of the game, the forum can be primary. when you start having wars and large numbers of cities, gets a bit more difficult to do by forum, but the major decisions should still be forum-based, imho.

i can do chat logs if i'm there
i'm a big fan of the chat for the simple reason that things change DURING the turn. for example, we could have a planned military action, only to run into a stack of 12 swordsmen with our horses. certainly that would warrant some discussion, which would either be taken back to the forums, or discussed there, depending on the time.

Decisions can be made and will be made in chat. It's just the nature of things in a game where we have only 24 hours to play the save.
HOWEVER, I will do my best (and I know the other Consuls agree on this) to put key decisions and discussions into the forum, and to report back to the forum what happened in the chats.
Bottom line, anything that needs to be done in chat will be done in chat, but everything else will be done here.
