Max cities?!?
I'm playing a PTW game (huge) and experienced the dreadful "too many cities" situation.
Hmm, that's weird, me thinks. I didn't think there were 512 cities on the screen.
Lacking the desire to count up all the names in the Shift-L list, I load up the PowerBar (which can count the number of cities automatically). Sure enough, there are only 390 cities on the world. (I loaded the game several times on the Bar just to confirm this).
So what's the deal?
Is the max 512 or 390?
Is there a problem with the PowerBar?
Is it me?
Just wondering...

Umm...forget it. I just counted 'em up and sure enough there are 512 cities... Oh well...
Speaking of max cities: there is the Civ3Ext utility that promises to remove the max city limitation. But in reality this isn't a part of the utility.
Anyone know of a way to get around the max city issue?

I thought the limit was hard coded. It would seem to me that it would require serious work to change.

Civ3Ext no longer removes that limit due to to many hardcoded stuff related to it causing bugs.
