That would be cool. We are all ways looking for more people to help. Paddy can give you some of the details of the game and tell you what is needed.

Hmm that is a good question maybe you should ask in the SMC thread instead of the Map thread.

Big map
I have a map to present President Paddy. Thanks for the commission. You really should work on your palace.
It's a big one. (~6300x2700) (2.5Mb)

Thanks. I am becoming pretty good at whipping a map together quickly. I did notice a few things about the game. Egypt was building Magellan's Voyage but Persia just completed it. It is likely Egypt will lose the shields.
Get the military machine rolling!

Fairly simple politcal map; I was going for the style of old age of discovery (1492-1700's) maps, where the borders were just outlined. I maight make a bigger one laster but I did wnat to pop this one out
And as an aside, hte funny things I've noticed in the map so far:
-Aztecs are on an isle in a lake, just like their RL conterparts were
-the new western land is actually in both terrain and shape, the USA
- Have you noticed the mountains near the south pole pointing like an arrow to the east??
-the 'broken heart' shape of Babylon
-the northern continent reminds me of something but I can't place it :P
-and of course the serpentine dragon shape of Japan/Korea
Kudos to our mapmakers!

Makahlua's map is fantastic!
And I'd just like to point out and BFM and I did put a few surprises on this map, so keep watch and keep exploring. There are still other things to uncover.

That's just about the best map I've seen on Apolyton.
Did it take you long to make it? We could certainly use something like this for the ISDG.

Not too long actually, I used layers and a reduced size version of the actual game map. Just traced the continents and rivers in another layer, made a solid ocean layer and erased the continents/islands/unexplored, and in yet another layer ( ) I outined the part of the cultural borders that were on land. I thought about putting them out on the sea too, but wasn't sure if I could make them show up ok against the blue.
Here's a slightly differnt version that shows the terrain as well - I'll pop open the full map for the ISDG and see what I can do
