I'm a real philanthropist.
I feel left out with the clues - though I guess I have been too busy serving drinks to look for any clues.
Can we have an updated list of who is alive please?

As regards the clues : I'm sending 2 each round to two people in addition to the ones in the story. People can choose to share these clues or not... some are of course red herrings, and people can choose to lie and SAY I sent them a clue. I will refrain from answering ANY questions about the truth of clues untill the end of the game.
The two "clue finders" from day 2 have kept thier mouths shut... I wonder why?

Damn, killed by the mafia faster than the last game. *sigh*. Well better luck next time.
And just for the record, I never got a clue

The clue that I haven't received yet told me that rah was the mafia.

Following the disorganised killer theory...
Could it be Skanky? I mean... being that the guy who would have witnessed his absence is dead... but... that assumes it was a day time killing, and no other of the other layabouts drink during the day.
or
Ghengis? Amateur Painter is a.k.a. being unemployed. Plenty of free time, too.
or
GJRamsey? See above for reasoning, but substitute author for painter.
or
Alva? Retired equals unemployed. Used to war and death, knows how to swing a golf club to good effect... but... strangulation would be atypical, and has been an M.O, so far.
or? other thoughts?

Have you noticed how Skanky was fast in moving Rah's remaining drinks to his bar? But if he killed Rah, what was the reason to kill Chaunk then???

Generally there are two mafia members doing the killings and they don't usually do two killings one after each other. Hence, Skanky may indeed be the mafia who killed rah, but not the mafia who killed me.
Probably he's neither, and once again the villiage will get down to the final 3-5 before the mafia are finally killed...

Yes, like a sensible GM would choose someone who is barely active and would be waiting ages for a Mafia kill
|
Some GM's choose the mafia at random.

Hmmm both strangled. Is it possible that one mafia killed the other on the first strike? Chaunk
I was not a mafia. Thank god. It would have been embarassing to be killed by the other one on his first selection.

Guynemer may have had access to lead weights for his fishing. Highly suspicious, if you ask me.

...or Rasputin... after all... he's active on Sunday, not weekdays... plenty of time... and he's been casting a lot of aspersions... maybe to throw us off his trail.
BTW...
would you post clues if you got 'em... the night before... not necessarily tonight. Keeping them secret is ghey.

Indeed. besides, Rah was strangled with something that let a fine red mark. Like solid thick string maybe? Like the one a fisherman uses to get fish?
Guynemer seems highly suspicious.

Because a librarian read lots of those books with murders, so he knows how to do it...

While the fishing line would make sense, I swear to all of you, upon everything that has ever been considered holy by anyone who has ever walked the earth: I am not the Mafia.
My first instinct, from the lead weight, was, "Aha! The blacksmith!" Then I realized our podunk town has no blacksmith--the closest we come is Felch, the mechanic. A bit too tenuous a connection.
Quote:

Doc removed Rah's hand from his face, and noted that he'd never seen such a look of surprise in the old barkeeper's expression in his life.
|
Who would be most surprising as a killer? A priest? A teacher? A librarian?
Which brings us back to the ligature mark... perhaps a rosary?
I am putting myself in great danger here, not voting for the other villagers to already receive a vote. I have made it much more likely that I will be executed. But I firmly believe that Rasputin is the Mafia, and I will not docpile Jon Miller out of self-preservation.
