Now now Tassadar you know how fickle you are. You hated Deus Ex remember, but we told you to keep playing and all of a sudden you loved it.
UT is certainly worth a look.

But theres a difference:
Deus Ex is a glorious game with a great storyline and deep gameplay
In Unreal Tournament you shoot things, and thats ALL you do
(Downlaoding the demo soon)

UT may have in-depth strategies that you could only discover the existance of by playing it for more than 5 minutes...

We really should try to setup a 'poly team/game with one of these games.
So is this one any good? (for someone not too terribly hot for these sort of games? )

It was actually kind of fun.
But I'm content with the demo and am sure as hell not paying $50 for it

Here are my impressions from the demo.
The weapons are really lame. They all try too hard to be cool.
However, some of the gametypes are really inspired. "Bombing run," which is pretty much like soccer, is awesome.
The maps are mixed. Some are completely cliche and uninteresting. (ooh, it's a warehouse and you can climb ramps to get to the top!) But the one with a truck convoy where you jump around on top of vehicles is very cool.
Lastly, I'm very impressed with the coding. I'm running it at twice the resolution of Halo PC with no reduced framerates. And the game hasn't lagged at all for me.
I would be willing to shell out the 40 dollars if Half Life 2, Halo 2, and Doom 3 weren't right around the corner.

I kinda... uhmmm... found the game somewhere, but I somehow doubt I'll buy this game... at least for now... it doesn't sound like a game I want to waste money on, unless we here at Apolyton makes a 'clan' of some sort...

I really hate that bombing run... it's just way too uninteresting... but so is soccer...

Yeah I saw that file, but wasn't sure how it would work. You need a DVD writer right?
