What the hell??? Ads in posts???
Why am I seeing ads to buy Civ3 gold in about 50% of the posts I just read?
The ad is actually embedded in people's posts.
What is going on?
They come and go. Is this some kind of plan by some posters to advertise Civ, or does it come from the management?

Yeah, the OT is a subpar forum.

Actually if Mark is satisfied with it there, he'll spread it to the other parts of the forum.
I don't have any problems with it.

I think it is just another strategy to teach the OTers a lesson. Maybe one day they'll understand they're like the rabble of Apolyton, useless parasites sucking the bandwidth that should be dedicated to glorious topics like Civ3

These ads-in-posts will just be like banners a few years ago. People will protest about them for a while, but eventually they'll become accepted.

Nah, it just has no place on a games site. Their are ads for support of gay marraige, which I totally do. But what about the guy who doesn't, who gets it auto-plopped in his post?
Kind of strange.
Bi women dating service? At least try for a target audience here, people.
And can you really dig it when there are repeat adds in succesive posts? I would hope that that is a 'rough edge' to a new system (at best) but it gets hella annoying.

LOL, it just keeps getting better...
I'm sorry for the screenies, but this one is tops.
Here we have a thread about the idiocy of the state of Tennessee and one of thir counties outlawing gay people or some other absurdity.
Clearly this paints Tennessee in a not-so-positive light.
And right in the opening post, our wonderful advertises have auto-plopped in an add for... what else? Tennessee Real Estate!?!
These new adds are really top-shelf!

They are also cutting off the text in some quotations, which makes it impossible to read some posts.
