So the result is that I favor option 1. In option 1 we have one more warrior for exploration, etc. and we gain more beakers per turn as our population point is one point higher. The granary is completed on the same turn.
The downfall of option 2 proved to be that the third forest chop would have been mostly wasted. Combine that with the lesser amount of beakers per turn and it just wasn't as good an option. The only thing that speaks well for it is that we will have two workers roaming around instead of one at 2900bc, but in the first option a second worker can be popped out in two turns anyway.
Please comment on this, but my recommendation is Option 1

MOI
I would prefer we posted what the WF and worker (especially the WF) is "supposed" to be doing, because WF defaulted to the sugar tile last turn and I had to change it to the forest tile at 8 (per E_T's WF diagram)

The save is here.
It will be played in chat, shortly. If anything comes up, I'll post it here.

Turn Results from 3450bc
Played following turnthread posted orders at 4:15am GMT with BigFree and Kloreep awake in chat ... and a whole bunch of other people idling
1 Anthea the Blonde moves S (2) onto hill.
3 Grog moves SE (3).
our worker is frozen.
No other changes made.
Save sent to BAT and Admin.
ISSUES OF NOTE
Tian-Sheng-Di (GWT) is at size 1 this turn. Zarigueya (CDG) is still at size 1.
We are #2 in GNP and Population. 1 in MFG.
We'll need worker orders for next turn.
APOLYTON will finish warrior next turn. It needs a name and orders. Also need to change queue to a placeholder for granary ... or something else?
Pottery in 2 turns.

Can a mod move the post for Sim Test Option 1 into the MOI thread please? Thanks. I should have posted them there in the first place.
EDIT: Never mind. I went ahead and posted option 1 there.

please clarify.
1. can i assume that we will have a wine hooked up before we reach size 3?
2. how many turns until we reach size 4? from your image, i'm assuming 15 turns from this turn (which was tecnically already played).
please clarify so that i can re-map Grog's scouting pattern.

Wines will be hooked up in 3250bc, the turn before Apolyton grows to size 3. So size 3 will be covered with the wines and one MP.
We will grow to size 4 on 2800bc, 13 turns from 3450bc. If Grog needs to wander more then I don't think it would be a big problem to use the lux slider.
However if we build a worker immediately after the granary then it will be finished the same turn Apolyton grows to size 4...which would bring it back down to size 3 and no longer require MP for a few turns.
Once the granary is in place then we can sustain a minimum 4 turn growth in Apolyton afterward. Unfortunately that can't be sped up beyond that until we get out of despotism. Both the wines and sugar are bonus food tiles, but both are subject to the despotism penalty.

alright. i am going to work onder the assumption that we do NOT need 3 Grog to act as MP.

If we build the worker after the granary then he would not be needed for MP until (I believe) 2590bc. Don't send him too far out there though as we'd only have one warrior for city defense for a while. Losing to another teams one lucky warrior rush would seriously suck.
