Vacations for the HS-AL posters

a few days ago an old bug was rediscovered in our scripts. a forum may be turned off, but one can still access and post to it if he can guess or find out it's number(nothing difficult, you just look for the "missing number" in the links of the front page)

some people took advantage of it and had their own little fun are. unfortunately for them, our resources are not here to provide place for spam, vulgar language and porn links

the penalties for these posters according to their involvement is as follows

3 weeks disablement from posting, 50% post count reduction(pcr)

Upon further reflection...this seems like a very equitable and fair distribution of punishments...I'm surprised you went to so much trouble to assign different degrees of retribution, in relation to offense.
But if you want to protect your source, you'd better give him at least a cursory slap on the wrist (like me). Otherwise, you've just made him a huge target for accusers...

Upon reflection, I see no consistency in the punishments. I've read the whole darn mess from end to other (before it was taken off-line), and Monk had 1 post in there. One post, in which he's telling them to stop. 1. But still he get's punished, and AH, who mad several posts, does not?

right. it was only %10 for some of the master spammers... it should only take a few hours of spam to get that back.

The entire forum was looked at, and a lot of thought when into the punishments. Granted, there is no way that everybody will agree on what is fair or not, but that's life.

As far as AH getting off free... HA HA HA HA!
It was felt that all of you would give him so much grief for putting the link in a thread, no additional punishment was really needed. (and contrary to popular belief, he didn't send the information to anybody... I just happened to see it before he went backa and deleted it) And by looking at what has been posted at other sites, it was a good assumption
