Where to find people
I tried to post this in the OT, but I got hit by the 8-hour limit.
The following people can be found at the Civgaming.net forums:
Provost Harrison
OrangeSfwr (using the name 'Sunday Mourning')
Bill3000
Comrade Dan
Snapcase
(This list will be updated as more of the banned show up)
(If any of the mods feel this should be in the OT, feel free to move it )

....but, unfortunately, the civgaming.net fora are down (again). *sigh*
Looks like they're getting a bit more of a vacation than they bargained for......

I noticed the fora going down about an hour and a half ago, when I tried to go to the OT, and there was nothing there.

The CGN fora are down due to a massive server problem that has not only wiped my admin account but is also preventing me from uploading ANYTHING. I have been unable to reach my server admin as of yet, and the sickening thing about this is that starting tomorrow, I will be gone until Tuesday, and I want to get the boards back up before I leave... sigh... Just when they start to gain momentum, the server nips it in the bud...

I sent Reismark an email, but no response...

Strange, I went there, registered, and made a post revealing all about the Area 25 incident and straight after I did that the site went down

I didn't tell a soul. I told finbar but that doesn't invalidate the first statement.

i got in to the cgn forum (main page) but it seems to be stuck on 13:48 est with me, provost, mark13 and 1 guest there. all of the forums i tried came up blank. trying to view the people on line came up with an error. also after leaving i could only get the page to come up by hitting the back button...
As for acol i don't much like it. i only got smac a few hours ago and their version of the OT is full of spamlike posts

Using my browsers 'history' list, I could get into individual threads, but got an error when I clicked on 'reply'. The forums were blank, though.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's just idle chatter. If it were just a bit, I wouldn't mind, but most of it is meaningless stuff...very boring.

This is the latest reply I've gotten:
<center><table width=80%><tr><td><font color=000080 face="Verdana" size=2><font size="1">quote:
<img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1>
</font>phoenixcager: There was a really bad server compromise this morning which resulted in the deletion of my admin account (which has since been restored) and my inability to upload files (which has been restored as well). However, there are problems with the UBB files which I can't fix on my own. I am contacting Gary Longo (the Q9 admin) tomorrow morning and setting him to it since I have to be away starting tomorrow evening until Tuesday...

On ACOL, meaningless is as meaningless does and is actually meaningful.
There is meaning but you just don't see it. There is a lot of subtlety there - just don't read everything literally.

Having just taken the time to peruse the off-topic here, I see that some of the posters in this thread have been participating in the "Word Association" thread. If that is not blatant postcount-enhancing spam then I don't know what is.
Perhaps you shouldn't be so condescending in future.

Yep, it looks as though the civgaming fora will be down for another couple of days at least, seeing as Reismark's not back till Tuesday.....

Is it just me, or is the CGN server down again? I tried a minute ago, and I can't get to any of the pages.

Maybe the admins have been downloading too many mp3's and porn again ...

This also happened at CGN when our server hard drive maxed out... I lost my account (but managed to restore it) and several other posters had the same thing happen in my absence...
