World affairs are certainly at an interesting stage. THE DEITIAN nation has developed all available land in its vicinity. The idea of finding territories in far away lands and colonising them is a concept that THE DEITY finds quite repugnant. We shall continue to develop our cities infrastructure and provide amenities useful to all our citizens. Other empires, I suspect, tend to rely on trade alone which benefits the few wealthy entreprenuers and the elite
With many banks and marketplaces we encourage all nations to do likewise and build wealth for all. The 'yo ho ho hydey-ho alliance' continues to prosper with both nations sharing research and tourism has become a major industry in the equatorial isles.

The peoples of the Aztec/Zulu alliance are truly blessed to live in such a progressive and enlightened environment.

The Horse empire "boxes on gamely" in spite of the unfriendliness of the 2 great empires. Strangely neither seems to have realised that having the Horse on your side could tip the whole balance of the game. But this is not our concern. The Horse empire concentrates on developing its embassies and trade routes. Aside from this, we rely on our resources.

The Horse empire industrialises and puts in place new powerful units and defences. The Aztec announcement of closed seas causes consternation throughout the world. Freedom of the seas is a basic right of all nations.

The Horse empire looks on with disinterest as the two alliances go to war. We wearily do our duty as a more enlightened civ by calling for peace and a higher understanding, whilst yet further strenghtening our defences.

Frankly, I think the makeo/finbar alliance should be nicer to me. Deity has a just cause in trying to break makeo's ridiculous naval restrictions.
And your alliance will have noted that I have stayed neutral - which I think was big of me
Gifts of techs and gold never go astray if you want to keep the Horse empire sweet.
