Congrats Nappy
Well done. You've just won the tournament

4 wins out of 4 games. My hat is off to you.

Yes, it is definite that Nap won the Tourney. It is impossible for anyone to match his score at this point. When the final game is complete, I will announce the results officially, but I certainly congratulate Nap for his outstanding and undefeated play in the Tourney. I would not have predicted anyone going undefeated.

Congrats, Nappy! Cool, this makes me feel kinda good, too, since my loss before I had to retire (out of two games) came at his hands in a duel.

Very well done indeed
I think the tourney winner should play cavebear in a duel BEFORE he parts with that trophy
cavebear, you did make that trophy, didn't you??

I seem to recall some mildly insulting comments concerning my suggested trophy. Weren't there concerns about giving out a mailing address? However, a piece of scrap wood, a base, an old chess piece and some hot glue... (j/k)

Seriously, I didn't think it interested anyone, but I would absolutely love to build it and it wouldn't take *too* long. Might even be worth something someday! Heck, I'll even take a picture of it and post it.

Nap - Would you prefer a wood stain or a black paint finish for the base and pedestal? Or would you like light blue to match the Chin civ? *s*

Nap play *ME*? Talk about shooting fish in a barrel! Let's see, what else could I do that was equally plausible? I could play Tiger Woods at golf, or Pete Sampras at tennis, or pitch to Mark McGuire. As far as I am concerned, Nap just proved he is the best Civ2 player in the world, and I won't tug on Superman's cape.

ROTFLMAO

(Oh, I almost forgot the gameplayers creed and required macho attitude...)

"Sure, let me at him! I'll tear his civ to shreds. He hasn't got a chance, not against ME anyway. I'll build Armor before he has Triremes with wet wood! I'll use peppermint kryptonite! I'll have Orcs!"

Thanx guys.....I really had a lot of fun over the last 8 months with the tourny. Curumbor and Arii in particular really pushed me to the limit....fighting for every last shield and beaker. Cavebear...please do the trophy up in barbarian red....and thanx once again for the all the organizational work and drawing up those splendid maps.
